by the way 14 unique visits today…pretty posh!
Well folks this is it! this could be my last post for 15 days.
I really hope I can update my blog along the way but if not it is my hope that you will not loose interest in my blog that you will return in 15 days stronger than ever.
I think it was john that said to me that there is internet at uluru which sounds good to me.
I’m not quite sure what to say, its not like I’m emotional and cant type cause I’m crying so much and that I’m gonna miss you so so so much. The reason I don’t know what to say is because I don’t know what to say…sheesh there was no need to bring emotions into this!
Well lets pray that its a safe trip and that I get good footage and am a good example to the kids along the way.
see you defiantly on the 12th of June, but hopefully before.
how good are blogs.
Below is a picture of Cadbury creamy vanilla ice cream, before I talk about it you need to do something, stand up in front of your screen, now tilt your head so that the picture is upside down, and tell me that is not a bum with poo.
good now that we agree I can continue.
Myself and tom spotted this ages ago and its the same on all the flavours of Cadbury ice cream some pictures quite explicit when turned up side down, your mission if you accept is to at all opportunities turn the tubs if ice cream in your local supermarket upside down so that others can share the beauty that is Cadbury ice cream.
tom and I call it “bum” and I feel that Cadbury should say it how it is too, I’m sick of false advertising its time for a change a face lit if you like of their marketing strategy.
I want to see new types of bum, like:
bum on a stick
Mc Donald’s Mac Bum-dae
slogans like “have you licked a bum today?”
kids would go up to mum and say “mum can we have bum tonight”
stickers on the freezers in supermarkets could read “pick your bum“
I really should get into the marketing business.
small containers called “bum for one“
ice cream “bum cakes“
promotions like “bum on a stick lick a prize“
the list is endless, good on ya Cadbury for entertaining me all these years
Today I spent the day walking around hornsby doing this and that! centrelink where very helpful they are letting me hand in my form early cause I’m doing this uluru stuff which is very kind of them.
tonight I went to pizza hut with the uluru people we had pizza and chatted and stuff.
I just had a very nice interaction with centrelink, i guess there is a first time for everything!
Its very cold tonight, its raining, and i have this problem where i need to wash all my clothes before i leave for uluru otherwise i will smell and no one will sit next to me on the bus. But its raining and its going to rain until friday, its such a big poo!
So i’m doing a wash now, yes now its 12:15 am and i’m doing a wash, i figure that it doesnt make much difference. Its just going to get hung up in the laundry anyway.
i wish i could sing, and play the guitar and trumpet!
remind me to go get my sleeping bag from the dry cleaners tomorrow well today, first time it has been cleaned in about 10 years. Pretty gross huh?
I’m sorry tom for making you feel like you where in year 9 again,
it would be cool if my blog had merchandise and you could buy howie’s halfpipe t-shirts and hats and bumper stickers.
stupid dog, i wish dogs couldn’t bark, i would like them much more
I awoke at 8:45 today in case the washing machine man came whilst Jane was taking Han to school, but he didn’t come until Jane was back so i went back to bed (of course) and didn’t wake up again until 12:30. Then it was off to Westfield to have lunch with David, i had McDonald’s, David had some sort of posh healthy sandwich trendy cafe foccacia bloody fresh crap. Where as i had some deep fired cuisine.
Then i had to travel all the way to unima to put the bin out at my nan’s house. On the train i sat in a cup of spilt mountain dew so i had to try and hide my wet bum when i got off the train and onto the bus, I’m sure i got some strange looks, with people thinking i had wet myself. I put the bins out bought some stuff i need for uluru and came home. That was my day.
My bum is dry now
I think it would be fun to be a postman!
i could be postman bob
Today was a very un-eventful day, i just sat around listening to CD’s and looking at stuff on the net, it was raining and cold, it was one of those days that would have been a good day to curl up with a dvd, and 2 litre bottle of coke and pizza. But alas there was no dvd’s to watch, and i cant drink coke. But there was frozen pizzas in the freezer so i had some. The pizza was good.
I went to berowra baptist church tonight, It was odd being back there, its been over 3 years since that was my church, all the people have changed, all the young people are so old and mature, its an odd feeling, the music is pretty good there i liked it. The sermon i didn’t enjoy as much.
The sermon was more of a drama or a play, i think plays can be useful to set the mood and sort be the opening chapter to a sermon but as a whole sermon it didn’t work to well. The sermon was about true Christian character. The 2 ministers dressed up in surgans dress and had a dummy they where cutting open to reveal all the Christian organs. It was like a show and wasn’t very tight it was very spontaneous and not rehearsed, Tim who was one of the surgeons was trying to preach whilst his associate Bill would make funny comments which drowned out what Tim was saying and made it very difficult to follow what time had to say and very easy to follow the jokes.
I feel that Sermons should have illustrations but illustrations shouldn’t have sermons..
BIG BALL BONANZA A RETROSPECTIVE!
Well Ryan and Howie’s Big Ball Bonanza has now been and gone, it was an awsome event celebrating community and team spirit, The afternoon began with the nice drive down to Crosslands reserve, followed by a friendly kick around of the big ball. A bit of lunch cooked on the bbq which was kept burring by our resident crosslandas guru Mr Pickle DeBeer. After eating it was time for a bit of a warm up the it was time to split into teams and let the big ball begin. And oh boy did it begin, it wasn’t long into the game when we had our first casualty, avid, who was snapped in two by the attacking Ryan. It began to rain, but in true big ball spirit we kept at it! The rain got heavier and heavier we kept going and going, with many slides and tackles and bodies flying through the air. It was a great afternoon and will defiantly be repeated in the near future.
I came home and headed for the shower, that nice warm shower it was so nice until the shower head fell off onto my head, i had to spend the rest of my shower holding the shower head on with one hand.
I’m warm now!
I JUST FOUND MY SPECIAL PEN! MY BIC INTENSITY CLICK!
ITS BACK, MY LIFE IS NOW WHOLE AGAIN
Rough Edges was good today, I got there early and chatted away to people, it was good then when it became 2pm I had 4 people wanting to use the computers which was good fun as well, then at 4 instead of going home I stayed and began work on poshing up the leaflets they hand out to people.
Boys Brigade was god too.
I was talking to one of the boys at Boys brigade tonight and he said he got an email about me today, I was a bit puzzled and he told me who sent it it was quite strange it was sent to a lot of people…here it is
“For any who remembers Mary Howie, her son Robert is going to Uluru with Ian . Although Robert has a sight problem I imagine he will be doing the videoing for the team. Please include him in your prayers. He needs a permanent job too. Marg “
its nice isn’t it!

Yesterday i went to umina to clean out Nan’s house again, there is lots of family fighting going on at the moment regarding the sale of my nans house…its very unpleasant.
I’m at rough edges at the moment.

Anyway I went up to umina with mother to clean out my Nan’s house, we cleared out cupboards and shelves and put stuff in boxes and stuff, I think my mum is finding it a bet emotional going through all my nans stuff without my Nan being there, but she is coping.
I might go to bed now, sorry I haven’t Been very entertaining today..
oh by the way my nan isn’t dead, it kinda looks that way when I read back.
