cityrail, ferry, broken cityrail, metal detector, Maccas, frisbee

Yesterday jo and I met in Chatswood where we bought my a new jacket and a new phone cover. Then it was off to the city. In the city we caught a ferry to manly, it was a jet cat I have never been on a jet cat before so that was mildly exciting. Then in many I needed to pee so we went to the automatic toilets and id did my wee. Then we ran into a friend of jo’s from tafe and her boyfriend so we went to a pub in manly and had a beer together.
Then I needed to pee again so back to the automatic toilets then back on the ferry to the city.
There was trackwork on the city circle line so we ended up at central instead of Wynyard because the trains where only going one way around the city circle. But that’s not altogether a bad thing seeing as then you can get an express from central to Hornsby down the main line.
And there it was the express leaving in 10 minutes so we hopped on and sat, then it left and stopped at redfern, then the next stop was strathfield.
The train pulled into strathfield and just sat there, after a few minutes we began to be a bit puzzled as to what was going on as there whee people on the platform not getting on the train and the people on the train wherent getting off. A fellow passenger informed us that the train was broken and the doors wouldn’t open. Then after 15 minutes an announcement over the P.A told us to move to the centre of the train and exit via the guards compartment so we did, then the broken train pulled away and another express came about 10 minutes later.

Cityrail sure does run a quality service.

Then we came to my house, with david, ryan, jem , chris, tom, keith and stella.. There was a bit of sillyness with the metal detector and the Yamaha keyboard thing, Then a trip to McDonalds was in order so off we went.
Then came back and watched a bit of ghost world.
The night was finished off with a bonza game of Frisbee in Hornsby park that finished just after 1am.

Awareness

2 Sundays ago I went to Berowra Baptist church, for Phoebe’s dedication service, and during the service the sermon was about mission and how the church is involved in mission and some churches arnt. It was a bit of a dodgy sermon a bit sort “we do this and other church’s don’t so huh!”
Anyway a large part of the sermon talked about how the youth in the church where very mission focussed and I sat there being quite critical in my head.
But then tonight as I was getting off the train at Berowra to go up to Boys Brogade, I saw all the Berowra Baptist youth people on the station, and Simin came up to me and we talked about where they where going. It turned out that instead of having youth group tonight they where all going into kings cross to see what inner city ministires and mission there are, they where going to Baptist inner City Mission and some other places.
I think that is really cool. A youth group going into an area of Sydney that most church’s don’t want to touch, especially young people. But there they where.
Chances are none of them will venture in a regular basis to help out and actually volunteer in kings cross but its damn good that these young people will have awareness of what goes on in Sydney. And I think awareness is really good. Good on them I say.
Hoorah hoorah for young people wanting to make a difference.

anyone?

Who wants to go on an adventure tonight ?

I have a metal detector, a frisbee and a tennis ball!

An evening of soft focus and cross disolves

Last night I had a romantic night on the town with my girlie, we met in Chatswood (at the internet café) then proceeded to the city by train where we went to circular quay. How romantic, I like circular quay. We decided to go on a ferry ride so we caught the 9:15pm Mosman ferry which was a 45 Minute round trip, very nice indeed. The city looks really good at night, I love the harbour bridge, the opera house doesn’t really interest me all that much but I love the bridge and the big buildings. What romantic night isn’t complete without a trip to Mc Donalds.
Then back on a train to Chatswwod where we sat on a seat and missed trains and busses, I ended up catching nightride bus and jo caught a taxi home. I got home at 2:20am but that’s ok cause I had fun and I like jo.

Well that last post seemed to open up a bit of a discussion. I just posted it because of a conversation I had had with someone and we where discussing how much sex goes on around the place that really shouldn’t be going on. And also sex is everywhere in the media and clothing and just everywhere and it shouldn’t be.

Unmarried people should stop having sex

not a lot

this post could be quit lethal and hard to read as i am in an internet cafe, but this internet cafe has no programs on the computer that have spell check, so i’m sorry for all the bad typeing that will occur.

THe problem with me and my blog at the moment is that i have all these great ideas and think “oh i’ll have to blog that!” but then its hours and hours before i’m at a place or a time where i can blog and by then i have forgotten everything.

So when i do finnaly sit down a write a post all i can write about is how something bloggable happened today but i cant remember what it was, and that ends up being my post, but then i dont post them because it would be boring to post “i dont know what to post” everyday.

The old days of unemployment where good days for blogging, well semi good, good in the way that if i had a blog idea chancer are i was about 30 seconds away from a computer, sure sometimes i over blogged in this environment, but i need to find a balance, so i’m not stick and lost for words. Becasue i dont have a boring life and if i had a better memory i could share my life on the blog.

just a side note, is it geeky that I’m in a internet cafe and that jo is going to meet me here ?

“i’ll go to the internet cafe”

“ok i’ll meet you there”

maybe i should start playing network games with some of the asian boys in here just to add to the atmosphere.

For the first time in my life I bought jeans,
I have never been a fan of jeans, infact the last pair of jeans I had was when I was in primary school and my mum bought me some, I never wore them so she never bought me jeans again. But today I went shopping for pants, and thought to myself, maybe its time to give jeans another run, maybe they aren’t so bad. So off I went.
Now here I am at home with new jeans on, just walking around the house to see if they are appropriate, they are very heave, a bit stiff, so far I’m not converted to jean wearing, its going to take discipline and determination to become a jean wearer, but i feel that in today’s society a man needs to wear jeans.
