I don’t want my blog to turn into some one liner thing that is just being written in to keep the visitors ticking over. But lately it has seemed a bit like that. Reading back it all one liners recently. It’s a shame. Surely I have more to say. Well this post is proof I have more to say. More to say doesn’t necessarily mean quality things to say.

I think I may have said this before but I love just watching people. Especially people I don’t know. Just observing interactions and expressions and body language and movements. People are just so damn interesting. I would love to put people in a big brother type house and just sit behind the glass watching. The way relationships evolve, the way people open up. Not just that, I think the train is the best place to watch people. And the city. It would be a lot of fun to take a couch into the middle of the city, and just put it down on a footpath and just sit and watch everyone walk past. Where are they going? What are they thinking? Do they like dogs?

I reckon you can tell a lot about a person by just watching them, not necessarily judging them but just observing, like the way people sit the way they look, the way their face moves.

Its all very interesting stuff.

My Favourite book when I was a young fella where Richard Scary’s “busy busy world” and “What do people do all day”

Very cool books, always liked people. People fascinate me.

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think my bed has become like a best friend that you don’t see very often so when you do see them you get really excited and you spend some real quality time with them, catching up. Unfortunately your friend has to go so your meetings aren’t all that long, but you manage to pack in some real quality into a small space of time.

Well my bed is like that. I don’t get to spend an awful lot of time with it these days, always up late doing something and up early doing something else, weekends disappear.
But I’m really appreciating my bed, its so comfy and warm, and I love it so much.

Only in the states

Only in the states would a 15 month old baby weigh 26kg and a 5 year old boy 62kg

cops are tops

I’m often questioning the efficiency of the NSW Police force.
Well on Friday as jen and I where walking across Hornsby station back to the office there where about 8 officers of the law standing at the ticket gates. One of them was on his mobile phone. There was also one standing back from the others leaning against the wall. He wasn’t just leaning he was engrossed in a Kmart catalogue.

Glad I don’t pay a lot of tax.

Out with the old…

Both our printers at work died at the same time, so when we got new ones, I took it on as my duty to dispose of the old broken printers

Bloody Hell

there are 300,000 kids under the age of 8 who today are fighting in the military of 30 countries.

Who’s out?

There is 193 countries in the world, 191 of those countries are part of the UN,
The Vatican City is one of them, but what is the other ????????

I have been pondering it for a few days now

A luscious green lawn is on the way

Gemma wanted to mind Hannah today so I stayed at work. I was just cooking some frozen pizza in the oven when steve messaged me and asked if I could go up to jacks for an hour cause Rob was going to be late. So I put my pizza on a plate and ventured up the street to jacks eating my pizza as I walked.

I opened up and let Barb in and then Joy popped up too. We started getting ready for opening time. One of the tasks we do before opening each day is walk around the outside of the café looking for any damage or rubbish. Joy did this today and she came back inside and told me and Barb that there was some poo around the back. At first she thought it must be some kind of animal poo but then realized that it was human poo due to that fact that there where tissues scrunched up beside the poo.

Now the thing that makes this story all the stranger is that we are right next door to public toilets.

Anyway being the Day Manager I decided that I thought it was probably my responsibility to sort it out. When Stu arrived we told him that we had a nice little job for him. Anyway just mucking around with Stu.

In the end I went and got a big bag of potting mix out of the cupboard and a box of lawn seeds. I went around the back and poured the potting mix over the poo, liberally sprinkled some lawn seeds, topped it off with some more potting mix then gave it all a water.

drip drip drip drip

I’m at the office at the moment. I stopped off here on my way home from jacks to drop off some stuff and pick up some blank videos. My problem is that since arriving here it has started to rain quite heavily. I dont have an umbrella and I cant find any here. My original plan was to just sit in the office untul the rain stopped.
A good idea you say!

Well I have been sitting here for nearly an hour and a half now.

So do i take my bag off my back and sit here longer or do I go get wet. I dont want to get wet because i’m just getting over being sick.

maybe I will just curl up in a ball under my desk and sleep here tonight. Gotta come back to the office in the morning anyway!

days off and matchbox

Today was my day off.
Very nice indeed. I spent the day with the lovely jo, we hung out at her house in the morning then lunch in forestville then muffins back at here house with james and helen and Rach. Then off to Macquarie to meet tom and cilla for a night of matchbox 20.

Triple M was hosting the evening but i dont think they got the turn out they where expecting. there was only about 25 people in the cinema. but it was a good concert.
Directed by the same dude that did U2 Elevation.

It was strange watching a DVD in a cinema on a LCD projector. At first i wasnt all that comfortable with it. it wasnt in 5.1 surround sound and it was a bit grainy as LCD projectors are. Oh and it was 4:3. But the conctent was good, just the presentation lacked a little.

Pretty good concert, took a while to warm up but they got there. Tom is gonna buy the DVD i think.

I caught up on a bit of sleeping.

I missed church this morning.
I missed the OH & S course on lifting.

In fact i missed most of the day.

I woke up at some stage and had a shower and checked me emails and chatted to Ryan for a bit then i went back to bed and slept and slept. I woke up at 4:30 pm. So all in all i had between 15 and 16 hours sleep.

I feel really strange now, a bit vague, i have a headache and during church tonight i felt a bit dizzy at one stage.

I have never been a strong believer in the whole “over sleeping” thing. I have always figured if you sleep for a long time its because you needed sleep.

anyway that was my day.

At the moment i’m at Helens house blogging on her laptop.

community in the field

Well here we all are, myself, jo, David, chris and Tom. All in core games in westfield doing to internet thang!

We just watched.
thunderstruck.jpg

It was good. I laughed a lot.

Stephen Curry is quite a funny lad as the ocker australian.

Yep a good film.

Beside jo is a very loud young boy singing very loudly. He is at the hot hits website singing stuff very loudly. He’s in year 7.

was it you?

I got the following sms sent to my phone today:

chonchon9: we are going to have sex, is ther anybody want to join

On sunday I’m going to an OH & S course on lifting.

Part of Berowra Baptist church’s insurance or something. All leaders and stuff in the church are supposed to do lots of these silly OH & S course’s.

I missed out on the last few, not really upset about that!
