the day of loose change
January 24, 2005 7:00 pm general chit chatI had lunch with david today over in westfield. It was nice we both had butter chicken. after lunch i felt the need to buy a new t-shirt. so i went of to all the usual over priced brand name stores and foun nothing. Well nothing i could aford anyway.
I decided to lower my standards and head into Target i lokked at some shirts for a while and found one that said “beans, the musical fruit” with a picture of a bean farting. I thought it was kind of fun and looked around for the price. It was $15.99 which is pretty good. I took it to the register and the lady scanned it in and said that will be $3.40. What a bargain a shirt for $3.40.
also today after having a win in target i met jenny andwent to St George to deposit a cheque my Grandma in Scotland sent me.
I had a feeling the cheque would end up giving me about $5.00 cause it was only a 10 pound cheque and over sease cheques cost $10.50 to process. Anyway the exchange rate and then minus the fee it turned out that i would get a grand total of $1.56.
I told the bank man to go ahead, he said becasue its an overseas cheque it will take 4 weeks for the money to go through to my account. I said that was ok.
Then when he tried to process it it got cancled because i only had $9.00 in my bank and that wasnt enough to cover the fee.
