I spent a lot of time last night drawing and designing a new building.
I really like that sort of drawing, I used to love tech Drawing at school, Chris and i had the bomb teacher and we both loved the drawing so we’d speed ahead of the rest of the class. My drawings were never as accurate as other peoples but some stuff was very fine and hard to see.
I had my firslt letter in “thehowie.net” PO Box today.

For me it is 14.
That is way down on previous years. The goals is to see 52 films in a year. I have never reached that goal.
Here are the stats from the last few years.
2005 - 14 (so far)
2004 - 22 (what a poor year)
2003 - 45 (oh so close)

2001 - 11
2000 - 6 ( i only have tickets back to 2000 but i know i saw more flims than 6 in 2000)
Some of the tickets are getting very hard to read, but its a fun stack of tickets.
oh that is a total of 122 films since 2000.
Well thehowie.net is now a small business. It has an ABN number and is on the Business Registry and as of today it even has its own post box.
Why? you ask!
Well you see I felt guilty about getting paid by google to put up advertisements on my blog so I thought oh I should get an abn and make it all legitimate. Then after having to give away so many t-shirts I thought I should sell shirts, not just shirts that say ‘thehowie.net’ but other shirts I could design silly and fun shirts. And sell shirts. And then if I’m selling shirts and stuff that will also be helping me survive with a bit more $$$$ coming in.
And then I was talking to a buddy the other day who is a fragrance designer and he said he would help me make soaps and fragrances and stuff too that I could also sell on the Howie.net.
I could have my own fragrances “thehowie” “A fragrance for men, that brings out the inner pansy”
Or coke flavoured fragrances and soaps and stuff although probably have the say that they are ’cola’ flavoured.
so hopefully I can turn thehowie.net into a bit of an online store. And of course my blog aswell.
Yesterday morning Jenny and I ventured into the city for an advanced screening of ‘Pooh’s heffalump movie”. We scored free tickets from jennys dad.
So off we went to a cinema that was full of kids and mums. AS they seem to do before most advanced screenings and exclusive screenings these days they have an MC before the film who gives out prizes and stuff. Well yesterday they had two presenters from the Disney channel. And they were terrible. They made jokes that no one laughed at. The took up way too much time.
Anyway eventually the movie started and it was a bit of fun.
I have to admit that the heffalump as very cute. It was defiantly a kids movie though, not like toy story or films like that where it appeals to all ages. This was a kids movie, but none the less it was good to be a kid again. I got a tad bored in bits and there was a few musical numbers that weren’t very strong at all.
But all in all I give it 4.5 / 7
I finally finished the WaveAid dvd tonight.
It’s a long dvd two discs worth of concert.
Such an awesome concert, I don’t know why I stupidly said no to going to wave aid.
Anyway the dvd is pretty cool. The edit is quite poor though, there is no sight of a tripod anywhere during the gig and hardly any establishing or long shots. So lots of jerky hand held.
But you get that.

I have to say it wasn’t an overwhelming response. But there where a few people out there who decided to take up the challenge and record the song. All for a free t-shirt.

I think scott was the one with the most potential to create an awesome rendition of ‘truck driving mumma’ but alas he fell well short of the mark, instead he treid to scam me out of a shirt by sending in music that he had nothing to do with.
Why did I post it then?
Well it’s a nice classical piece that is soothing to hear after the first two entries.

Tonight after work myself and jenny went to the cinema.
well before the cinema we went to the foodcourt. Of course.
Anyway we saw Madagascar.
I have to say I was quite sceptical of this film, thinking it was just another film trying to cash in on the success of toy story and shrek. But it did stand up by itself to be a very funny little film.
I love the way in animated movies that they manage to cater for such a broad spectrum of ages and different styles of gags and jokes and cross so many genres.
It was a funny film and made me laugh a lot, I didn’t laugh as much as the teenage girls 2 rows behind but I did laugh. Oh poo jokes are funny and this monkey made some funny poo jokes. And again chris rock impressed me, I think it is that when he is constrained he us much better in his roles.
I would recommend this film to everyone and give it a 5.5 / 7
Today I spotted something a bit odd as I was in a car driving through campsie in the early hours of the morning.
there was a man and a woman standing behind their car boot, which they where filling with spinach, When I mean filling I mean filling. Just plain spinaches the big leaves, a boot fool of it. no plastic bags or anything. and there they where offloading it out of a full trolley of spinach into their boot of spinach.
maybe popeye is real!

Coke is releasing a limited edition coke with lime flavour at the moment.
Seeing as coke provides me with so much of my bodys fluid i figured i’d have to give it a go.
It tastes like a mixture between pepsi and hospital grade floor cleaning products.
Limited edition, i’m sure its only limited becasue some work experience kid accidently bottled the outflow of one of the bottleing machines after cleaning it out. Coke figured that its in bottles so why not sell it as some new trendy yuppie flavour.

Today at work we played with playdough. It was fun.
I made a car with a road and a tree and a street light and a street sign and traffic lights.
I also made our own playdough but it was missing some special ingrediant so it was a bit sticky. Creme of tarter, whatever the hell that is)
