Today jenny and I ventured off to the city to see ‘the yes men’.
It is out on dvd in the states now I think but has just hit our shores in the cinema. We saw it at Dendy quays.

Well it was quite a good film. It follows Two fellas and their mates as they pose to be employees and spokesmen of the World Trade Organisation. They have a spoof website that looks similar to the WTO website and sometimes people mistake it for the real thing and these guys find themselves invited to conventions and conferences around the world to be the key note speakers. They manage to be obscenely satirical of the WTO and its practices but often the audiences don’t see the joke and think they are legitimate.
The downside of the film for me was an interview with Michael Moore, it just wasn’t needed and I’m a bit over Michael moore he has only one trick and he has milked it for all its worth I wouldn’t be upset if he disappeared of the silver screen for the next 40,000,000 years.
The film was fun and a bit enlightening, very clever boys indeed. Was made with what looks like an extremely low budget but it did the trick. It would be nice if it got a run in mainstream cinema but it probably wont. So I suggest you take the trek out to a dendy cinema and go see tis film.
I give it 6/7
