I”m such a good person
July 31, 2005 12:46 am general chit chatthis evening jenny and myself where having a romantic night in the city, we where heading for pancakes on the rocks but unfortunately there was a massive line to get into it so we ended up going to city extra instead.
Anyway on the way we decided to walk from central station to the rocks. Jenny needed to wee so we stopped off in some toilets in the world square building. I decided that I needed to wee too so I went off into the boys toilets. I went to the end cubical and did my business then I walked across to the sinks to wash my hands. There was another man washing his hands and I noticed a long white thing on the back of his pants. At first I thought it was a towel or something like waiters have but then I realised it was a long strip of toilet paper. I had a dilemma, do I tell him and he is really embarrassed or do I tell him and he gets angry and punches my head off.
I decide to tell him.
Me: “excuse me”
Man: “huh”
Me “you have toilet paper hanging out the back of your pants”
The man looked quite puzzled and I don’t think he understood what I was saying,
Me: “there is toilet paper hanging out of your pants”
He began to turn around to see for himself but as he turned his body the paper turned with him so he didn’t see it, at this stage I think he got a bit confused as to what the hell I was talking about. I then realised that verbally this wasn’t working and I took the plunge and lent over and grabbed the end of the toilet paper. He was a bit shocked probably wondering why this strange young man with funny eyes is reaching around below his bottom. As I lifted the dangling end of the toilet paper up to where he could see it his embarrassment suddenly became very apparent across his face.
Man: “thankyou thankyou thankyou”
Me: “No worries”
and that was that I left the bathroom and met jenny at the end of the corridor and the man walked out very slowly behind us.
poor fella, I hope I didn’t ruin a fancy dress costume or anything.

I had no idea that ACTUALLY happened to people! I just thought it was a mildly amusing standard sitcom situation.

Good on you for telling him, that’s real love and compassion in action.
