recap

11:00 pm [Live] from Greece

Time to recap on the last week or so.

Well as yopu know i left sydney and flew to greece. In singapore airport myself jenny and julie ran into a group of other people going on the same trip to greece that was a bit of a surprise we all got on the same gulf air flight to Bahrain and then onto Athens.

In athens on our first night we bunked up at a large Scripture Union place after spending the afternoon at mars hill and sightseeing a bit of Athens.

THen the nex morning we hit the road for the 8 hour drive to the north of Greece to the town of Ptolemieda or however you spell it. A Lovely town where the local Evangelical church really opened their arms and embraced us, spoiling us with vast amouns of food and hospitality. We ran 4 festivals there over 3 days 1 each night in the main town square with croweds in the thousands and one very special festival in a physciatric hospital. THe patients in this hospital where lovely and it was a really special time.

THen after our time in ptolemieda we split into three groups one group went back to Athens one acoss to Thesaoniki and the group i’m inm off to Albania Korce.

So far we have run one festival in Korce.

Albania is a very interesting place, it is part of europe but not part of the EU, just 10 years ago it was a communist country there are many bunkers around the place from war times and most of the buildings are falling apart or fallen apart and abandonded. THe people of Albania have not had an easy life and they have a very low concept of themselves. But they are lovely. THere is a bit of a feud between albania and greece and it is fare to say that most of the population of albania does not want to live here.

Its crazy that they ae a developing nation surrouned by well established european countries.

its pretty hot during the day but at night its quite cool.

Having a very good time, a very tiring time but also very inspiring and eye opening. We have a great little team and i’m sdure we will bond together a lot over the next few days here in Korce. We are in Korce until next thursay morning and then we drive back across the border into Greece to meet up with the other groups again.

Be good to be praying for us and the Albanian people.

apart from that i dont really know what to say.

oh i got the coolest book for my birthday from Debbie Gower. thanks debsy.

they need more westfields in the world.

peace out dogs.
