Yesterday my blog got comment spammed again, but luckily none of them appeared on my page. The funny thing is that they where all advertising a christian singles website.

well folks its that time of the week again.

Podcast number three is now up for your listening pleasure or dis-pleasure.

I’m not really sure if its any better than the first two, we still dont plan anything before we record, we just press record and then we make it up as we go along, hence the level of quality.

here it is.

You can also listen to the old ones by going to the podcasts page at the top of this page, there is also info on how to get a RSS feed of the podcasts.

i’m tired

I was thinking after a conversation that was had at lunchtime today.

I really enjoy seeing people with disabilities out and about. Like when i walk past the boys with down syndrome at the bus stop and they are laughing and telling each other poo jokes. I really love it. I think a part of it is that i want want they have, i dont mean a disability but more so the abundant ‘ability’ they have to just be themselves and to relax, to be silly to hold no grudges to just laugh and enjoy each others company no matter what the surroundings are. And i love seeing the kids from clarke road special school walking through hornsby, all walking in disorganised lines with some kids straggling behind and others running ahead or kids in wheelchairs beside kids with mental disabilities. It reminded me of a story from Korce Albania during one of our festivals. There was a statement that one of the local guys from the youth group said or maybe it was someone from our team i cant remember. Anyway it was that on the jumping castle there was a girl and she was the mayor of Korce’s daughter, but also on the jumping caslte was a gypsy girl who during the day was seen on the side of the road begging for money. But in the jumping castle they where all just jumping together happily.
Why is it that kids and people with down syndrome and other ‘dissabilities’ get it so right but we get it so wrong.
Kids dont care about skin colour or economic status they just play and jump together.

coles hornsby already has a section for christmas products. its beeen up all week.

crazy have to avoid the rush a remember to pick up some tinsel before its all gone. They tell me December 25th is a bit earlier this year

I’m sick of being stopped by hawkers and salesmen trying to sign me up to save the children donations or trying to sell me phone packages. And they come out in force. Each day they swamp Hornsby station overpass and its very hard to get through without being stopped by one of the weasels.

Some people try talking on their phone or pretending to talk on their phone to get passed. But this may not always work .

I’m sick of it.

So I have invented the “Howie’s hawk crusher” a device that enables you a nice walk past hawkers without any interruptions.

at this stage it is only available in light green but hopefully red soon. The glass in the window is bullet proof and sales proof the light weight carbon fibre casing is ideal for all ages and folds away into a fridge size case.

Hopefully in the future I can extend the range to hold 2 people and some models up to 18 people.

some people may fear that I have stolen the above photo from the internet. But no I would just like to set the records straight. I took this photo in downtown Korce, Albania. The cats name is lennox.
It was a fun little kitty. it could breathe in the bag and was only in the bag for a few seconds, it got out pretty quick.
I didnt put it in the bag i just photographed it in the bag.

no need to call the RSPCA anyway even if you did call the RSPCA Albania doesn’t seem to have many laws. Like they have absolutely no copyright laws and to obtain a drivers licence all you have to do is hand over cash .

Sunday afternoons are a good time to watch films.
In a bid to catch up on many lost weeks of film watching and to push myself closer to the pinnacle of 52 films this year jenny and I saw “Wallace and Gromit, Curse of the were rabbit”

It was a little beauty. Very clever and funny. I used to love watching the Wallace and gromit short films back in the day and I was a bit disappointed when the creator sold out and went off to hollywood to make chicken run. The poms just seem to make good films and good television and even good radio. But as the Americanised version of ‘the office’ proved. The yanks just don’t cut it and they shouldn’t try to be British.
Anyway yay for making Wallace and Gromit into a feature film. Claymation is very clever. The script is very funny with lots of puns and little wise cracks made by the cast. Its just fun really.
Not really anything negative to say about it.
I’ll give it 6/7

Go see it, it comes out this Thursday!

tonight I went to the swans with jenny, debbie and greg. It was a nail biter. The swans played dodgy the cats should have won but the swasn one.

normally we sit up in the stand but tonight it was down on the concourse. I’m not a very good concourse sitting supporter. I don’t swear enough and I don’t call the opposition homosexuals enough or at all. Its crazy some of the insults that people come up with just from someone dropping a little yellow ball.

anyway it was a fun night.

I just got home, threw up and now I’m going to bed.

Last night Jenny and I saw “Charlie and the chocolate factory.”

It was a fantastic film. I don’t know why the cinema was so empty everyone should be sitting in there watching it.

Johnny Depp was fantabulous, awesome. Tom reckons its better than the original “Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory” but I don’t think its better, I think they are very different films. Even though they share the same story.

It was a fun film, a very bright looking film with songs and dancing and awesome costumes, but at the same time it was a bit dark and sinister.
I think Jhonny Depp was a better wonka then gene wilder but the umpa lumpas were not the best in this film because there where CG of one man.

I recommend it to everyone and give it 5.5 / 7

Tom and I just made a podcast. And boy oh boy is it dodgy, we did no planning we have music and we had no idea what we were going to talk about. Its not intended to offend anyone and i want to stress that it really is dodgy.

but hey if you’re bored at work and have nothing else to do then feel free to listen. its about twenty minutes long and may take a while to load.

Here we are in singapore on our express trip home. less than 1 hour in bahrain and less than 1 hour in singapore.

As we went through security at athens airport there was a man in front of me that got pulled up at the bag x-ray machine. THey opened his case and out of it came about 200 lighters, all with a marijuana leaf picture on them. I think he may have got in trouble.

our flight from athens to bahrain was not on a gulf air plane it was a ‘jet airways’ plane some indian company, it was a posh plane it had an on demand touch screen entertainment system in every seat. It was col youcould choose from a list of stuff to watch and stop and startr it whenever you wanted. so that was fun.

then on the last flight therewas a group of men a few rows in front who where flirting with the hosteses and other passengers. anyway one of them kept going into the toilet and then he would reapear and the cabin would be left with the smell of ciggarette smoke. None of the crew seemedto catch on so much for smoke alarms on gulf air planes.
The only thing that happened was a crew man walked past once sniffing and said “i smell smoke” and that was the end of that. maybe smoke on gulf air planes is common.

8 hours to go and i’ll be back in sydney, plane travel is fun but long flights when you cant sleep suck.
