litle fish

10:23 pm popcorn and choc tops

This afternoon Jenny and I saw little fish at Castle Towers.

I think it was a good film, cool to see big famous actors come home and do a local Australian film, and also good to see some regulars on the Australian screen like lisa Mc cune and noni hazelhurst.

It was a pretty in your face kind of film in terms of language and drug use and the affects of drug use. Which is probably pretty close to the lives of so many people in our city. Cate Blanchett was good as a 32 year old ex heroin addict who is trying to get her life on track and start up her on internet café on the side of a video store which she works in. The problem I found with the film is that it didn’t end all that well there wasnt enough closure and I would be surprised if there is a sequel. So it had potential and could have had a happy or bad ending but in the end it didn’t really have an ending the credits just played.

I don’t often see (MA) films, but I did see this one and I give it 4.5/7

I saw little fish about a week and a half ago. I think it was a great movie, very well done, but it wasn’t a nice movie. The acting was astoundingly good! Especially from noni hazelhurst and hugo weaving. Damn they were awesome!
