T.D Shakes da house
November 18, 2005 2:20 pm general chit chatWell it was a fun ole’ night.
Jenny and I drove to Concord West then walked to the superdome through bicentennial park. We got to the dome and joined the ling windy line through the door. When we got inside a security man told us that the main level was fuul and that we needed to go upstairs to the club level. But knowing that tom had saved us seat as soon as we were past the security man we nicked off in the opposite direction towards door 9.
The superdome is such a cool building!
Anyway we watched some videos on conferences coming up and ads for CCC. On massive wide screen screens. The queen herself, Darlene sung a few songs. Then it was on to TD Jakes, He was big and loud and American. He had man playing piano through the start of his sermon. The piano player was really cool, He was black and played gospel music it would have been cool if he got to play more and got the whole place swaying and rocking. But alas he didn’t but what he did play was really cool.
TD gave a loud and enthusiastic sermon about the prodigal son and shared a few stories about his family. It was good he used the stage heaps and kept everyone engaged. “Do I hear an Amen? “Is there gonna besome shouting in this house tonight??”
Anyway it was a fun night, it was cool seeing heaps of people at the end go down for prayer and people becoming new Christians.
