T.D Shakes da house

general chit chat No Comments

Well it was a fun ole’ night.
Jenny and I drove to Concord West then walked to the superdome through bicentennial park. We got to the dome and joined the ling windy line through the door. When we got inside a security man told us that the main level was fuul and that we needed to go upstairs to the club level. But knowing that tom had saved us seat as soon as we were past the security man we nicked off in the opposite direction towards door 9.
The superdome is such a cool building!
Anyway we watched some videos on conferences coming up and ads for CCC. On massive wide screen screens. The queen herself, Darlene sung a few songs. Then it was on to TD Jakes, He was big and loud and American. He had man playing piano through the start of his sermon. The piano player was really cool, He was black and played gospel music it would have been cool if he got to play more and got the whole place swaying and rocking. But alas he didn’t but what he did play was really cool.
TD gave a loud and enthusiastic sermon about the prodigal son and shared a few stories about his family. It was good he used the stage heaps and kept everyone engaged. “Do I hear an Amen? “Is there gonna besome shouting in this house tonight??”

Anyway it was a fun night, it was cool seeing heaps of people at the end go down for prayer and people becoming new Christians.

ooooops i forgot to go to work

Actually i have a day off. This is the last of 3 days off that jenny and i had up our sleeves. So far there has been some sleeping, some watching of cricket watching of a dvd and a vegemite sandwich.

Now its time to go off to homebush to see T.D Jakes at the superdome with tommy.

probably need some ice cream in there somewhere too.

four brothers in seats K-17 and K-18

Last night Jenny and I saw ‘Four Brothers’

It was not bad. Not the most fantastic film I have ever seen. But shoot em up films are always a bit of fun. No explosions but plenty of shooting. The dude from Outcast was pretty good, you normally expect gangsta singers to play snoop dogg kind of roles in films but not thins time.
I wouldn’t go out of your way to see this film, but if you find yourself with a few spare hours and its cheapo Tuesday go see it.
I give it 4 / 7

And No I did not sit in my allocated seat. Stupid stupid seat allocations.

What happened to ‘Fare Go”

Today I went to work. But I do not like the new IR reform that the Government want to implement.
Especially the stuff to do with centrelink and NewStart payments. Its a crock.

So even though I didnt strike i still support what the ACTU is trying to stop.

Maybe they will decide that volunteer organisatios should pay their workers.

Greater Union now have allocated seating in their cinemas.

Its stupid, you have to pay more if you want to choose the seats you want to sit in. And if you pree choose a seat how does that cater for having an anoying group of teeenage boys behind you who dont shut up. you need freedom to sit in whatever seat you damn well want. Its already like $15 to see a movie.

So i’m going to write a letter to greater union and i want your help. At the top of this page there is a button that says ‘Petition’. simply click on it and fill out the form. And I will attache your comments to the letter i send to Greater Union.

What are they thinking? way to go ruin the movie going experience.

Nice landing

Finally I saw a film again at the cinema. Its been such a drought.

Jenny and I saw Flight Plan.

I Enjoyed it a lot. Quite a turbulent film oh I’m so witty. But really it took off well, Cruising at a nice altitude.
Ok enough with the crappy jokes. It was a great film, it tricked me quite a few times. There was suspense and drama and even an explosion. At times it made me angry a bit and upset, some passengers in the jet gave me the irrates but I think that was the plan. I don’t really think I have seen many films with Jodie foster but she was good. And the plane was soo cool it was big and had a bar and a lounge and stuff.

I give it 5.5 / 7

a load of fluff really

general chit chat 9 Comments

Anyway enough about the state of our nation. Lets get down to serious business.
Belly Button lint, how is it formed? Why does it only appear in the belly button? Is it only in the belly button because if belly button lint was in some other bodily crevice that its name would be rather defunct?
If its true that its just fluff from your shirts and stuff then why don’t you get little tufts of fluff in your arm pits? You never hear people talking about picking out their arm pit lint.

I remember a few years back chris would often be picking his lint out of his belly button. I would try to compete but never have substantial crops like him. Do girls get belly button lint? Or is it just the manly hairy body and a few Italian women?

And is toe jam and that black stuff that forms under toe nails the same thing? Is that just fluff from your socks?

So many things to ponder.

need i say more

Things are looking up
By Howie

I awoke in the night with a sinking feeling
my apartment had fallen through my neighbours ceiling.
I looked out the window to see the ground rising
The whole apartment building seemed to be diving.

I turned on the television to see the news channel
my apartment was now part of the lane cove tunnel
A quick way to the city through my underground drag
the problem being I haven’t registered for e-tag

The next day I was late to work due to the traffic
My employer fired me, saying “you don’t fit our demographic”
Apparently overnight the PM changed some workplace laws
So now my job security has gone due to a new sub clause

Down in the dumps I fell into depression
Shaving became a chore that moved into a facial recession
Apparently overnight the PM changed some ASIO laws
No longer beards shall be accepted on these shores

Detained without reason I was raided in the night
My family was not told and I refused to contrite
The media was told that terror I had planned
Because of a long beard I was a persecuted man

Next week I have to appear in an immigration court
I have breached my visa so next an upcoming deport
Back to a nation where human rights are a un heard of
Australia was a refuge, I was expecting brotherly love

but things are looking up

I’ve been to cities that never close down

sea the sculptures

I know it probably looks like I never work. But its not true I work most days, I have just had some days off up my sleeve so jenny and I have been taking them together.

Today was another one of those days. We went to see the ‘sculptures by the sea” at bondi.

It was cool about 100 sculptures spread from bondi to Tamarama beach all along the headland.

But to start the day we took advantage of the cross city tunnel being free.

All the bins at Bronte beach for some reason were all lined up. But then when we came back to the car after our day they were all gone.

there was all sorts of weird and wonderful sculptures, some massive some tiny. some crap some really cool. This is a little comby van made out of mosaic.

some thing that spun around in wind symbolising something deep and meaningful, you know how artists do that.

this was my second favourite piece. A giant wave made out of scaffolding. It was massive. I love scaffolding.

a closer look at the scaffolding.

And this baby. My favourite piece of the day. A nice swimming pool

how cool is it the pool! Its in a skip bin

and one more photo that I have to blog. Not because I want to embarrass, Jenny but because it’s the 1,000th photo taken on my digital camera.

Today i saw a television on a fridge.

It was in franklins in a coke drinks fridge near the counter. I thought that strange why is there a little tv in the fridge. I went up to it and it was a touch screen and it said ‘touch here” so i did. It just seemed to play advertisments for mount franklin water. So not all that exciting in the end but still kind of fun.

Sydney house swallowed by shody tunnel work!

pictures in paint, general chit chat 7 Comments

Or is it something more cunning?

Lat last night a block of units on Epping road in Lane Cove began to sink into the ground. residents were shocked to see a large hole appear around the units and the building slowly began to sink. Fire fighters were forced to break down doors to evacuate sleeping residents. The giant hole which caused havoc with Sydney’s peak our traffic today has been linked to the construction of the “Lane Cove tunnel” project. The opposition is want a full enquiry into the disaster calling it ‘Another Sydney tunnel mistake”. But thehowie.net reporters have this special insight into the late night disaster.
Apparently the disappearing unit block is linked to terrorism,. The PM today announced that there was a ASIO intelligence stating that there are plans for a terrorist attack on Sydney and that the new terror laws will be rushed through Parliament later tonight. ASIO has been monitoring terrorist activity on Australian shores and in expected to reveal in a press conference tomorrow that the Lane Cove unit incident is a result of Terrorism. It is believed that due to uncontrollable population grown in mainland china that the Chinese government has been forced to acquire residential dwellings from out side the borders. Just to keep up with the growth and demand for domestic housing. The Chinese Government has been digging through the earth to Australia and acquiring houses late at night using advanced tunnelling and acquisition technology.
ASIO is expected to release a security development plan in the next few weeks to help reduce the risk of more dwellings disappearing underground.
The Chinese Government has declined to comment.
