the organising of the church and the order of service and the guest list and the reception venue and who is doing what.

its kind of fun but also kind of stressful with different people pushing their views on what we should do and no that wont work and you cant do that.
But jenny and i have a pretty good idea what we want so all we need to do know is make it happen.

we need a nice reception place that has a nice ourdoors bit for people to stand around chatting and a nice inside bit for those who dont like the outside and we need it cheap. Any ideas?

oh and we need food for it too but not too much just nice nibbles and drinks. mmmmmm coke.

    Hey mate,

Our reception is at Roseville golf club and it has a nice outsidey bit. It is one of the few places under $100 a head but is still reasonably expensive.

The most cost effective place we came accross is Asquith golf club. Its about $35 a head but does not have the outsidey bit as per your request. Rob Mooney is the caterer there and the place has just been rennovated and looks good. Might be worth a look for you.

    When’s the wedding set for?

Ours is February 18… Six weeks away. I’ll warn you, life gets awfully busy right about this time!

Hmmmm, I am pretty sure Asquith Would cater for the cocktail type reception. Another good one that we looked at is Mona Vale Golf Club. They have an awesome view and an outside balcony. Don’t know if they can cater for the cocktail type reception but also might be worth a look. From memory they were well priced. (Actually, we found that Golf Clubs offered the best value).

I’m no expert at anything but if you have any questions that someone who has gone through it very recently, don’t hesitate to drop me an email. I don’t want to be one of those who just spews forth unrequested volumes of information… you’ll meet a few of those between now and September.
