Today Jenny and I ventured up the mountains to the zig zag railway.
You may have picked up that I really like trains and I always have, I love catching trains, and train tickets and when I was little my family would often take me on steam train trips because they knew I loved it so much. I even got to go on the Flying Scotsman when it toured Australia.
My nan used to take me away on little holidays to blackheath and we would stay in a motel and it was all very exciting for me. On one of these little holidays we went to the zig zag railway and I loved it. Today I got to relive those memories with my nan and re experience the great little railway.

here are some photos from today.

At the bottom of my driveway about to leave.

After driving along the pacific highway, then pennant hills road then the M2 this is us on the m7 before we turn onto the m4 and head up the Blue Mtns highway before going across to the Bells line of road.

And here she is, the great zig zag railway, complete with coal shovelling man walking down the tracks.

oh I was having so much fun.

Our afternoon at the zig zag draws to a close, but not without a trip to the gift shop.

this is ziggy one of our purchases from the shop.

Oh what a mighty fine day it was, I love the smell of the smoke and the soot in your face and the noise and the ricketynes of the old carriages. Oh how I love steam trains.
