Germany V World 11
The best thing i’ve see so far that is mildly connected to the world cup.
this little video takes a while to load but very clever.
fun for the whole family
On monday jenny and i are going to see enough rope being taped and the guest is Kevin Spacey. how fun i love tv studios and i’ve wanted to go to the ABC studio at ultimo since they moved there. and i like enough rope and andrew Denton is a good interviewer (in my opinion). I know some people dont like him. but i really enjoy his mix of seriousness and sillyness.
broom brooom……

I havent seen a movie in ages. And what a good film to break the drought with. Pixar make good movies. This movie was really fun, it made me laugh and if i was an absolute pansy it would have made me cry too. The cars are so fun, my favourite is the little forklift and the mack truck.
I give it the 5.5 / 7

Happy Birthday
In my role as a forgetful male, it seems that 3 of my friends birthdays have just passed by without my knowledge. I would like to say that it is there fault for not informing me that it was their birthday but i cant really justify taht can i. its really up to me to remember peoples birthdays. I feel bad that i forgot them becasue its rare that people forget mine (august 25th for those of you who have forgotten).
I also feel bad becasue i want to remember things like that, becasue its important.
So Jem, Mil and Gem Happy birthday and i’m sorry that i had no idea it was your birthdays, its not becasue i dont care.
And to any other people that i have forgotton birthdays a happy birthday. As i can not see my memory and awareness improving in the near future i would also like to say a very happy birthday to all those with birthdays still to come this year.

Well jenny once asked everyone what would make our wedding the “wedding of fun” and i said a merchandise table with official howie and jenny merchandise.
Well folks its a green light on the merchandise, jenny was not a big fan of the idea. but now she is and some of the merchandise is now in production and should be delivered in 2 – 3 weeks. wahooooooo.
note to self
dont upload things to server thinking that everything will work fine and dandy
I just tried to make the homepage for thehowie.net which has been broken and uncompleted for a few years now.
I uploaded the files and stuff feeling very smart becasue i thought i was understanding ftp and all that geeky stuff.
but as you can see if you go to thehowie.net it is just an advertisment for smartyhost.
rolling on the floor laughing, well not quite
tonight joshy and i went to see the schools theatresports challenge grand final.
It was down at the enmore theatre, one of the early morning soccore hotspots so i hear.
Anyway 9 schools competing to be the champs, ASi feared it could be in some parts you just whised you wherent there or that you where able to go up onto the stage and just quietly but quickly remove some of the competitors.
There is so much pressure with theatresports to be so funny and so quick and someitms the pressure gets the better of people or they just say things that arnt funny. There was definatly some of those moments tongiht, but not to put a dampener on the even some of it was damn funny. Some clever kiddies up there on that stage. One of the judges was Beneata from play school. (just a little random fact is that beneate is a distant relative of mine) anyway yes the judges where quite harsh at times.
In the end Sydney girls won the night with St Andrews comeing in second. Poor old turramurra high came in last. Byt hey they made it to the final.
there is a part of me that thinks i’d really love to do theatre sports , somtiems i can be pretty quick and i have a pretty good sense of imagination. but then there is another part of me that would be wetting myself casue i’m so scared and i wouldnt be able to stand in front of people and just be funny. there is probably a big difference between doing theatre sports in a church camp and doing it in a theatre full of thousands of people.

It seems that the good run of healh has come to a hault. Today i felt quite sick all day nausia, and rumbles in my bowels. a few releases of pressure, not totally unformed but not solid either.
shame, i really dont enjoy being sick.
A letter from a sleepy citizen
Dear SBS,
A lot of your programming is foreign content, which means that subtitles are required for us uncultured aussies who only speak one language.
One of the great things about subtitles programmins is that you dont need to have it turned up loud to hear what is going on becasue you wont understand it anyway.
Well i was wondering if you could employ some foreign commentators for the world cup broadcast, thus resulting in the need for subtitles. Which would then mean that television sets across this nation could be turned down during the football games.
Becasue lets face it, the games are being shown live, but live is at an a obserdly ungodly hour of the morning and it disturbs my beauty sleep hearing the game so loud in the next room.
I”m sure a large number of Australians would be grateful.
thankyou

soggy road kill
In recent times there has been a lot of talk about pedestrian crossing safety. Especially in regard to kiddies being hit by cars on crossings.
Well this is a serious issue and i think something needs to be done about it.
But its not the only issue that crops up at pedestrian crossings. I dont like being in crowds of people who all have umbrellas and are all trying to cross the road, you get bits of umbrella in your eye and water dripping off everyones umbrellas all over your backpack. Its a dangerous nightmare. Well i have come up with the solution. its called the
“howies invention that stops kids getting squished and umbrellas in the eye”
when the traffic lights are green for the cars the big flaps are down blocking access to the crossing by pedestrians, hence eliminating the risk of kiddies running out into traffic whilst also providing a rain free environment mean umbrellas can be safely stowed away in people bags or better still left at home.
when the lights go red for the cars. the flaps lift up and form a roof across the street using the howie patented “whinchy thing that uses cables and a little motor”.
