My home cineam setup is now fully set up. tonight with jennys help i drilled into bricks and put in those little plastic things then a screw into the little plastic things. then it was time to mount the 2.1 metre wide screen.

Tongiht Jenny, Sam myself and Tom went to the ABC to see a taping of ‘the chasers war on everything’. We stood in the waiting area for about an hour while an angry security guard shouted at people for moving a couch so they could sit on it.
A man walked past that knew tom well actually he knew tom but he also knew my and jenny. He listened to podcasting with howie and tom. So that was fun meeting this man, he was a very friendly chap that worked at abc radio on 702. Just as a side note i am only 23 years old but i do enjoy lsteneing to abc 702 sometimes, i like james valentine and the lady before him they get interesting guests and have good phone in segments, i also love the cricket coverage on 702….anyway back to chaser.
Eventually we went into the studio, its a pretty amazing set that the chaser boys have, very detailed. the show was funn, there was water in my eyes at some points from the laughter. They even had a horse in the studio that enjoyes licking chaz’s neck quite often. very good free night out.
Yay for the chaser.

Yesterday was my first day volunteering with 3801 limited. I had a really fun day, My job was to be and observer and to see how they do stuff i also got to help people on and off the train and do the things that the other volunteers did. It was tops I was on the Cockatoo run a journey from central to roberstons and back again. 3 vintage carriges pulled by a big old diesel engine. We climbed the steepest grade of track in NSW to Summit tank a little platform overlooking lake illawara and srounds.
I even got to ride in the engine with the 2 drivers from Thirull to Hurstville.
oh so fun.
I just finnished setting up our home theatre system. I”m about to turn it all on and hope its all wired up properly. I had to extend the cables that panasonic sent with the speakers casue they where too short but good old dick smith supplied me with 29 metres of speaker cable and now all the speakers are connected. the projector is all connected, the set top box is all connected. all that left is to mount the screen but hopefuly ryan can help me with that next week.
i love cables and projectors and all that jazz.
At the moment “blame it on the boogie” is my favourite tune, its getting quite a lot of airplay its so funky.

Today i got to visit dreamland. I woke up early and caught the train into Redfern. Then walked along a path to a gate where a security man was standing. i waited til a man came to meet me. he gave me and orange vest and ewcorted me to the sheds of the 3801 limited. We had to cross a few train tracks to get there and go past the maintene sheds for the xplorers and other countrylink trains. Then the 3801 shed was huge!!!!! it had about 15 old carriges inside it a few diesel engines and about 5 or 6 steam loccos. It was so cool. an old man showed me around everything and we climbed in and out of carriges and loccos and lokked and ones being restored and buit and others being cleaned. oh it was so cool. the old dudes who work there really love thier jobs it was awsome. I got to climb up inot the 3801 engine itself and that was cool in fact is wasnt cool it was quite warm, it was still warm from when it last went out which was on sunday, thats how how the engine gets that still on tuesday it was still warm.
oh it was so much the coolest ever. And the stupid NSW governemt wants to take it all away. So much work goes into maintaing trains and i want to be a part of it. I’m off on the cockatoo Run this sunday to experience that train and leanr the ropes a bit. then i’ll hopefuly be able to spend a few saturdays down at the sheds helping to maintain some of the old carriges and eventually be a passenger attendant on the 3801 train. Oh i was in little bot heaven, i’m sure its extremely dagggy that i love steam trains and trains in general so much, but bah what are you gonna do.
tomorrow i’m off to the Evenleigh railway yards for a tour of the 3801 workshop and a bit of an orientation to 3801 limited.
how fun, i get to walk across train tracks, and get up close to my favourite steam train.
Nov 10 and 11 will probably be the dates for U2 is sydney.

today greggy and i put together a futon that jenny and i bought at ikea a while ago. Jenny and i got stuck last night when we tried casue the screws wouldnt go in properly. But today greg and i got it done, we used a hammer, 3 screwdrivers and an ectirc drill, alane key and little spanner and sheer masculine strength.
stupid damn thing.
Poor old howie cant drive casue his eyes are too broken, poor old howie cant get cheap train trips casue his eyes arnt broken enough.
Oh how much since i turned 15 have i wanted to drive. Now there is a way.
this little guy! He is a 4 wheeled electric scooter that is for driving on the footpath. i could drive places (not quickly) but i could drive. If it rains no worries, if its too hot well the doors are removable.
it has a max speed of 10km/h but thast ok i’d be happy with that. It comes in different colours.
all i need now is $8,800
In a few days I wont have cable tv anymore so I need to make the most of it before its gone.
Cable tv is an overloaded smorgasbord of programs that are either too naughty for free to air tv or too boring for free to air. Last night after watching the glass house on the abc I stumbled across a program on mtv call “yo momma” . It is cable tv at its finest. A tv crew goes out into the suburnbs of America and challenges 2 suburbs to a fight. Not with punch but with yo mumma jokes, people battle out it out trying to out wit their opponents with the most original, funny and creative yo momma jokes.

I came home the other night to find a 2litre bottle of coke sitting on my bed.
That is such a tops present, john brought it for me. Tonight after hannah went to bed i sat down and poured myself a glass of liquid gold and turned on the box. ahh bliss.
On thursday eveing Jenny and i will start moving stuff into our new home. Then a few days later i’ll move in and have my own pad for a month and a half.
Oh how my life is about to change
today at the swans we had tickets to the members stand at the scg, the above is a photo taken from my seat. Oh boy did i have a good view.
The swans lost, we forgot to bring my chicken roll and half the scg was hidden behind a concrete pillar. Actually i did enjoy my time becasue the members stand is quite posh and thats fun and on the way out we walked past all the tv trucks so taht made my day.
