If one of my friends is standing there chatting to me and there fly is wide open, i would tell them.

but when its a stranger its not somethig that you just say. The other problem is that once you have spotted that someones fly is down, it becomes quite distracting, you loose your place in the conversation because you are thinking about them, what are they thinking, do they know their fly is down, are they just not pulling it up becasue then i’ll know it was down and i will laugh at them. is there fly broken and they are hoping that no one notices.

well last night i had this problem. i had never met the person before, we where chatting and their fly was down. to make matters worse they where wearing jeans that where a bit tight so when they put their hands in their pockets the fly would open up.

poor fella probably had no idea, but there was no way i was going to say anything, not becasue i didnt want to but beasue i didnt wan tto embarriss the man.
