Last ngiht the pom’s won the cricket!

Today is raining and all grey and gloomy, first the dogs win the cricket, then they rub salt in our wounds by leaving us with their weather!

they require a lot of fuel to carry out their day to day tasks.

Luckily women are more environmentally friendly than the petrol guzzling suv’s driving around in the city. women run on hugs and good behaviour from their partners.

I’f i’m naughty, forgetful, or dont want to do something the woman begins to run low on fuel, thus resulting in groans from the engine and backfires from the mouth.

normally a few litres of hugs and an apology fills the tank again and she can get back to the laundry.

During the day in this wide brown land you often here the sounds of a 2 stroke mower, or whipper snipper doing the rounds of a local backyard.

Between the men who operate these noisy lawn chomping machines there is an unwritten law surrounding the time of day you are allowed to begin. Sure the wife may say “Husband, go mow the lawn now” but you have to stand up to her and say “Wife, its too damn early, I must abide by the unwritten turf law”

I would say the appropriate starting time would be 9:30am and if its a sunday then maybe 10:30 is a better time to start.

This morning there was some knob in our street who started a bit before 7:30, damn thing woke me up. he must be whipper sniping the whole damn street casue he’s still going and its 9:10.

i missed out on an hour of my sleep!

American TV stations should block Australia from being able to see up to date information regarding their tv shows on their websites.

Its not that hard to do, but just so when a series starts on Aus tv like prison break or something you dont go visit the website and then find yourself finding out what happens in the rest of the series.

Lots of websites block different countries from seeing some of the content i think more tv show webistes should do it.

jenny looks it up all the time to see whats happeing in up coming weeks especially with shows like survivor and amazing race.

well no need to fear, i have rectified my home theatre dilema.

Once again i’m watching crisp clear picture through my over priced HDMI cable.

i just needed to fiddle with the output settings in the set top box, some how the settings got reset and it was only outputting through composite outputs or s-video. i’m so clever i fixed it i fixed it i fixed it.

The Definitive Poo

By Maureen McAuley

The poo of all poos
Is not easy to do.
And the skill to achieve it
Is given to few.
Since the moment of birth,
I have harbored the aim,
And now at five months
My ambition’s the same.
  I have practiced like mad
In this short space of time,
And dozens of nappies
Have weighed down the line.
But is spite of my efforts
And great concentration
I have yet to experience
The wondrous elation
Of having produced
The definitive poo,
With the just right quality,
Odour and hue.
 It must be a big one,
Right down to my feet;
It must make Dad stagger,
Fall back on his seat;
It must come along when
It’s most unexpected;
It must cause amazement
When it’s first detected;
It must be accomplished
When visitors call;
But- best of all –
It must really appall!
  But filling a nappy
Is no easy feat,
Though I will continue
My own goal to meet.
My red face and groans
May be funny to you,
But BEWARE this could be
The DEFINITIVE POO!

I love having a HD projector with my HD digital TV reciver.

But tonight i’m angry. I’m watching my HD projector, but i’m only using a S-Video cable betwwen the reciever and the projector. Normally they are connected with an HDMI cable, but either the HDMI output on the reciever or the HDMI input on the projector is broken. SO damn anoying, and i have no way of checking whihc one has gone to the dogs, i’m hoping its the reciever casue i can live without tv while its off getting repaired but if its the projector i’ll be upset, panasonic outsources all their repairs to these places that take so damn long to fix stuff.

The good thing is that all our gear is still under warranty.

But you dont understand how hard it is for me to watch HD tv through a S-video cable.

Yesterday was the day of the big move. Putting our two lovely boys, ham and pineapple, into their new tank.

tanked.jpg

It was a big move, moving lights, and filters, and bubble makers and rocks and the turtles themselves.

this big new tank is supposed to be their perfect home, the freedom to swim around happily with no walls close by.

As you can see in this photo there is not a turtle in sight. since moving them they have both been hiding behind their platform, in a space far smaller than their original tank!

Stupid turtles, hopefuly the trauma of the move will wear off soon and they will be swimming happily around their new abode.
