We actually have some confusion here between “Fridays”. I’ll call them F1 for the day of the week “Friday” and F2 for the name of the horse “Friday”.

The cowboy arrives in town on Wednesday (W1) on his horse F2, stays for three days (inclusive, though it’s possible that he actually arrived a day earlier (T1)) and leaves on F1 – probably aiming to head out of town by around 4pm to avoid the weekend rush.

the way I see it, there is no mention of the day of the week at all, both Fridays is the horse.
He probably comes in on a sunday and leaves tuesday.

Howie, there’s no way he would come in to town on Sunday. With the Sunday matinee screening at his local cinemaplex, he would not want to travel on that day.

yeah he comes in sunday, goes straight to the saloon from some steak and chips followed by some bingo.

Monday he spent the day wandering around the local westfield picking up supplies for his journey to the next town, things like hay for the horse, cream for his hemaroid and a new feather for his cap.

Then tuesday is spent at greater union, being cheapo tuesdey he goes crazy, even watching ‘music and lyrics’ just casue its cheap.

    thats the real story
