Went to the doctor today casue my Astham puffer prescriptions have run out.
Also told the doc i’m going to kenya in August.
I went to Uganda in 2001 and had heaps of injections before i left. But it seems most of them have expired so i need new ones.
yellow fever is still going strong so i dont need that one again. but hep, typhoid and and some other ones.

I just watched ‘The road to guantanamo’. Far out its a pretty full on film, I think everyone should watch it. Especially Mr Howard!

We all know that my eyes arnt the best in the world, with Ocular albanism, intemittant squint, short sightedness and nystagmus.
Well lately, my left eye, which is the one with the squint, has been twitching a bit, with nystagmus i cant actually physically feel my eye moving but the last week or so my left eye has been twitching and some times it feels a bit like a vibration….
is that bad?

My mobile is with them and just this month they have decided to introduce some new billing system. I have this $5.50 fee on my bill that i have no idea what it is. I called up and went through what seemed like 560 menu options, then when i sat on the phone for 10 minutes listening to crap music and recorded messages telling me crap all. Then it began to ring and i thought you beauty. it stopped ringing and i got the following in my ear. “we are sorry, due to system difficulties we can not asnwer your call, please try again later”.

Last night I had a can of coke with dinner, it was the last one in the fridge and i forgot to replace it.
Now i have to take a warm can to work today.

Just watched Andrew Denton’s ‘God on my side’.
It was a good film, Andrew was really good at not being biased and not going in there just to take the piss, which i guess you could expect from someone who calls them self an atheist.
The problem i have is that a lot of the ‘christian’s in the film are so different to myself and my belief. Right wing bible belt America scares me. There where only 2 people that andrew interiewed that had what i would see as a more balanced aproach to faith and god’s word.
I know that the expo was mainly very fundamentalist right wingers but still.
It’s a good film go watch it.
Today was Jesse and Marie’s wedding.
It began with an 11:30 arrival at the the groom’s house. We watched U2 and ate pizza before getting into our shmicko suits.
Eventually we headed off to the church.
Our suits where black with a black vest and a black shirt. It was soo dammn hot!! I was melting.
During the service it was really boiling hot up on the stage and we had big spotlights shining on us whihc didnt help. Sweat was dripping form all us boys heads.
Then to my right, Matt, one of the other groomsmen fainted on the stage. He just fell flat onto his back beside me. He was ok we got him some water and then he got us all water.
then photos, i managed to get myself into several photos taht tourists where taking of themselves.
We headed to the GABBA and evenv got photos out on the field in the middle of the massive empty stadium, it was very cool, they even put some of the big flood lights on.
then a lovely recpetion up in the cricketers club. I got to do a speech at the GABBA.
and now its back in our shoebox for a sleep and then a fly home in the morning, then off to the swans game at the SCG at midday.

This morning wife and i decided to head into brisbane city for a wander around. We drove to south bank and parked the yellow getz then walked across the river (using the bridge). Eventually we ended up in the botanical gardens where we sat on a park bench and planned our next move. Wife tooka few photos then i stood up and realised i had sat in something wet. on inspection it was quite yellow. wife gave it the sniff test and and saidv “nah thats wee”
so then walking back through the city with someone else wee hanging off my butt we went back to the car where i got to sit on a map as we drove back here to our shoe box apartment.
We are in our compact accommodation now.
The stupid bloody airport security this morning in sydney anoyed me.
We had to transport some friggen present for jesse and maree, from someone in tasmania.
Jenny and i didnt want to have to check in any bags so we only packed enough to fit into carry on luggage.
We went through security and it already anoys me casue i have to take my belt off and take my laptop out. this time the friggin present had knives in it. how where we supposed to know. Anyway i had to go back though security to check in the present. i got to the desk and they said i couldnt check it in without ID, which my wallet was in my bag which was with jenny back through the security area.
So i had to go back to the security scan and they farted around not wanting me to scan the present agian. eventually i got through then got my wallet and had to go back out security to the check in desk. checked the stupid thing in then had to go back through security again!!!!
the security lady was quite rude to me too.
then our plane was delayed by 40mins.
we arrived in brissie, picked up our bright yellow hire car and drove straight to a westfeild.
there is a little bush track in hornsby that i used to walk up and down each day. well the council put in a sign saying “caution, uneven surface”
the path is a bit uneven with steps and stuff.
anyway this sign has been attached to the council sign.
tonight after work I was going to go to commy dinner. But then the neons of video ezy dragged me off the street and into their safe warm bosom. I hired ‘Blood diamond’ and got some hot chips. then cityrail gave me a lift home.
wife and I just watched the movie. It was pretty full on. I couldnt help but find myself distracted a lot by leos south african accent. Anyway nasty business that blood diamond trade. Our world really is a crazy place and humans do stupid things for money / power / or what they think is right.
