Jo bought me a CD that arrived in the post on monday.

‘Cannot buy My Soul’ - the songs of Kev Carmody

cdcover.jpg

It is such a tops double CD. The first disc is all covers of Kev’s songs. By John butler, The Waifs, Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning…….and many others

and the second disc is Kev Carmody himself. To tell you the truth I had never heard of him, but he is really really good. An indigenous man that flows with great lyrics and stories. He reminds me of Archie roach and i love Archie too.

Go buy it.

got my final injection.

I got to tell them how my arm has been sore for a month since the last injections, turns out they tore a muscle or ligament or pierced it or something with the needle.

Should eventually just heal itself.

jab No.2

Gotta go get another shot in my arm this afternoon. The second installment of the Hep A + B imunisation.

My arm still isnt functioning properly from the shots i got a month ago. Maybe i’ll tell them today that my arm has been sore for a month. I feels like a muscle has been strained or torn or something.

  • To help reduce my blogs impact on global warming I have decided to invest in a post recycling scheme. From now on all you read will be a rehash of stuff I have written before.
  • AlsoI’mgoingtolimittheuseofthespacebar, asthespacebarusesfarmoreenergythanotherkeysonthekeyboard duetoitsunnecessarysizecomparedwihtotherkeys
  • I am installing energy saving banners, which like the light globes will take a long time to load and will cast a dull gloom over the site.
  • to assist in easing the affects of the drought I am placing a bucket under my desk, so that when i burst out into tears whilst viewing the declining visitor statistics i can collect the tears and use the full bucket to drown my sorrows.
  • Last but not least, every time someone leaves a comment I will steal your personal detials and sell them to companies and organisations that will send you tonnes and tonnes of paper telling you how to save the world by using less paper and giving them money so that you can be carbon neutral. In tern they will give you a water saving shower head whcih means you will have longer showers becasue those stupid damn things give you bugger all presure.

Wife and I are having a little 4 day holiday next week up to Port Macquarie. I was scanning the website of the motel we are staying at and it was telling me about the free Austar and free wireless broadband. now broadband is a must if you are me or wife.

Anyway they think its helpful that i know “we also get top quality SBS reception”
hope that doesn’t mean I’m jumping to generalizations about their clientele

E-tag only, cross city tunnel using, ICE addicted Terrorists

general chit chat No Comments

I love how the media finds some new problem every few months, some atrocity in the community and then that just gives them fuel to blame that incident for anything bad that happens for the next few months.
Last year it was the ‘cross city tunnel’. Everything was blamed on the cross city tunnel. Street diversions, bad traffic, premature babies, the price of petrol, hurricanes in America etc….
Then the media discovered ‘ICE’ the drug that is tearing the country apart. Infact I think the drought is probably because of ice. Local media picks up on it a few months later too like our local paper reporting on a fire at a park caused by ice addicts.
Today its all gone to the dogs because the harbor tunnel is now E-tag only. There was a big article in smh today about the sky opening up with lots of rain, as the tunnel closes. ‘Sky opens as tunnel closes to cash’
And then of course there is the global theme of terrorism. bloody terrorism its everywhere. You cant take shampoo on the plane casue you might blow the plane up with your head and shoulders anti dandruff shampoo. You cant leave your backpack on the train station casue you are sick of carrying it. You cant grow a beard, speak Arabic and shop at dick smith. Stupid terrorism. If it wasn’t for Ice addicts using the cross city tunnel the world would be free of terrorism.

I’ve moved my city construction upstairs for the moment becasue its too damn cold downstairs.

Added about 150 more paddle pop sticks to the city over the weekend. Itsa slow process but lots of fun.

Today I took the boys out to get some sun. Normally when we take them out for sun the swim around in a big tub with that is half in the sun half in the shade.

Last week we decided to take the boys out and put them on the lawn for a few minutes. They just sort of stood there not knowing what to do.

Today I put ham onto the lawn while pineapple was still in the tub. ?He looked around, then for some reason he decided to do a runner. He’s a fast little bugger.

I got him.

here is ham exploring the lawn.

Trying to get onto Soul today to get international roaming turned on. All their customer service numbers are engaged. for that matter all number that sould have listed are engaged.

It doesnt exhurt confidence in a telecomunications company if their phone numbers dont work.

maybe they packed up and fled the country.

tonight dinner at the Inlaws was relocated to the Pennant hills bowing club. I had an $8 roast beef dinner. It was good and what a bargain!

this afternoon wife and I had another 3 games of pool, it was looking like I was going to go down 3-0 again but I won the last game so only 2-1.

I’m pretty much a pool shark.

Instead of doind my husband duties of washing up and putting the bins out I decided to watch the special features on the lano and woodley dvd that wife and i watched tonight.

Now its much later than i had expected it to be. Just done the bins.

Now its time for my ipod to keep me company as i dive into the dishes.

Also for those of you who wanted a way of commenting on banners you can now comment on individual banners by clicking on them. although this function is not yet available on every banner but it will be soon. you can start by commenting on the 2 most recent banners.

commy bye bye, banner, wow its good!

general chit chat 5 Comments

Well tonight was the last community dinner at Keith and Stella’s place, they are off to alice springs to live in some hippy tea house, and be all hippy and stuff.

It was a fun night, much laughter.

in other news i slaved over my new banner and not one person has said ‘what a cool banner’ to which i would respond “oh shucks, its not really that good” to which they would reply ‘yes it is’ and then i would say “really you think so?” and they would say ‘yes’ and then i would respond “i guess it is pretty good isn’t it, i’m pretty damn talented, wow i’m good”
