Tomorrow its off to blackstump for another year, only this year i have some responsibility.
feeling a bit nervous about it all but not too bad, i’m sure i will get there and realise i’ve forgotten important things.
so here goes hey!
After having a day off yesterday it was back to the office today. And i was pretty damn productive, i did stuff for the new work intranet project i’m working on and I also got some stuff done for slum survivor this weekend.
At the conference I was at there is a child care program that runs for the entire week while us adults are in the conference.
On the last night there is a ‘kids concert’. Kids singing, dancing doing dramas all that stuff. Some of it was really good there was these really awsome girls about 13 years old who sang some amazing harmonies.
anyway the golden moment for me was the 5-8 year old boys where being interviewed on stage. they were asked what their name was and what their favourite part of the conference was.
the person with the mic workerd their way along the line of boys on the stage.
this was what occured about 3/4′s along the line of boys.
Adult: what is your name?
Boy: Ya Mum
Adult: umm ok and what was your favourite part of conference?
Boy: Ya Mum
my goodness me it was funny, i couldn’t contain my laughter, you spend a week at a pretty intense conference, and a Christian conference at that! and then this gold bring the week to a close.
to celebrate being back on the main land wife and i are going to maccas for dinner
one more sleep.
last night was freaking cold, stupid tassie weather.
there is some good buddies here!
I’m alive, my predictions post is mostly correct.
I have to say i havents been totally bored but there have been moments. it has been cold and am looking forward to being home, mmm my own bed..mmmmcable internet. mmmmmmmmm westfield
Internet is not paramount at this conference so i took the liberty of actually writing this post last Saturday night. and setting it up so it posts it today.
So i have no new news to tell you but i can predict the following.
Right now its cold in tasmnaia, and i dont really want to be here and am excited about coming home in a few days.
the weather here in sydney is getting quite lovely. The sun is begining to do its thing, summer is on its way.
I’ve beeen waiting months and months for some warmth and sunshine, it comes and then tomorrow i have to go to freakin tasmania for a week, where summer never arrives.
at least i’ll get some more velocity points
I got a carpet burn on my knee today at work.
it hurt a bit, the big pain came when jenny put alcohlic hand gel on it casue we didnt have any detol or anything like that.
I think i need to take a few months off and get some serious compo
about to go to the dentist man again.
I think i may be changing my opinions of childrens entertainemt.
In the past I have stuck by the wiggles and belived them to be the greastest childrens entertainers, but the last few weeks i’ve moved Hi5 to the top spot. And i havent been putting on wiggles for hannah instead hi5
for those of you who dont know who mick is this will make no sense. for those of you who do know who mick is I have also forawrded this image to hornsby council for their consideration.
this is the old signal box building from hornsby station, its a 2 storey brick building and this morning when we arrived at work it was up on wheels ready to move off to a new home.
It is designed to recreate life in a slum, exposing the participants to the living conditions of billions of people in our world.
Throughout the weekend there will be challenges and games to stimulate enduracne, creativity and their response to global poverty.
Do you think you could hack it? or do you know some young people who you think would like to be part of this experience?
how will Howards loss in the polls affect the party?
tomorrow is the one year celebration of me being jenny’s husband. she is pretty lucky, i’m the best husband a girl could have.
We just got back from a celebratory romantic dinner at an Italian resteraunt in castle hill, it was good althogh my 250ml’s of coke cost $3.60
and the garlic bread was really a loaf of garlic with sprinkles of bread.
now we are home the real celebrations begin, and before your mind wanders not thats not the sort of celebrating i’m talking about.
I’m gonna loosen my belt a bit and sit back and watch the rest of the swans game, and maybe have some ice cream.
then its sleeping time.
for those of you who where losing sleep becasue I didnt elaborate on my new shoes.
ywsterday wife and I drove up to Armidale. we arrived spent some time at parentals place then all went around to the nursing home to see my nan.
She is so differnt to when we sore here a few months ago, she is hardly there no fat or muscke just skin and bone, It was hard to hear what she was saying and she couldnt really hear anything anyone esle was saying. she hasnt eaten in days and days. Its quite sad, she was my best friend when i was little. Today we went back for another visit and fomr most of the time she didnt know who i was.
very sand and probably not much longer before she nods off for good.
after some retail therapy in down time armidale (i got some new green shoes) we bgean our drive home. we are staying in Taree tonight in the ‘spa room’ at a motel. this room is full of paint fumes.
i’m puching for a night in the formula 1 motel in godford tomorrow night just so we can have some sort of class for our one year wedding aniversay on sunday.
