you have probably already read the news on jenny’s blog. But if you are looking for a more offensive and insensitive version of events then please read on.
We got an email on Friday morning from the family who own the house we are staying in. They let us live here rent free while they have been in New Zealand for the last 2 years. It’s a tops house. and 5 bedrooms is just the right amount of space for the 2 of us. Anyway they emailed to say they are heading back to Australia probably at the end of June. Which is nice, if I lived in New Zealand i’d want to move back to Australia too.
To break it down for you, just in case you are thicker than a rugby league players neck, we have to find alternative accommodation. Apparently not only are they coming back to Oz, but they want their house back too.
Once we heard the news we jumped into gear and came up with a pretty weet option. Kmart is having a sale on 6 person tents, so we headed into Kmart but the dogs had sold all the tents. So that option is gone.
Leaving us with only a few other avenues to follow.
- Arrange for a close family member to take an early trip to heaven
- Guilt some rich person into giving us their home so they can pursue their life long dream to be a gypsy.
- Move all of our stuff into one of the ikea display apartments in Rhodes
- Buy a campervan and park it outside our neighbors house so we can use their unprotected wireless internet.
- Ask kevin if kirribilli house is still available.
- Look at renting our own place on our limited budget, probably somewhere like LaParouse, Cowan or Hunters hill.
- Buy a property and build a kit home from those magazine subscriptions where each month you get the next piece.
- pretend we have a sick child and go live in Ronald McDonald house
- Change the locks on our current place so the owners cant get back in
- pray
Which option do you recommend?

The ikea option. Or park the caravan in front of neighbours house.
I like the campervan idea – the priorities are correct in that one.
But I certainly wouldn’t mind coming to visit you in Hunters Hill.
But having just been to church, I think the last one is a good place to start. Doesn’t mean the others aren’t still options
Kit home.
Yeah, I’m with ryan, go the kit home!
You could buy a kit home and move to NZ. It’s real cheap there.
