Tonight in an attempt at winding down from a mammoth week of work and moving house, wife and i headed off to the flicks to see ‘Get Smart’.
I read a review the other day saying that if you go in to thie film expecting it to be like the much loved tv series you will be dissapointed but if you go in to it just to watch a funny spy movie then it will entertain you.
I wasn’t all that entertained, i had a couple of laughs but on the whole i wasnt impressed. The teenage girls in the cinema all laughed quite a lot so maybe i’m just getting old and grumpy.
I just got an email from optus saying we have reached 100% of our data allowance for this month.
Normally i would complain and say ptus is a poo.
not today optus, you can go stick your data allowance up your bum. I gonna pack up and leave in the morning. weren’t expecting that where you mr optus.
Yesterday I was at a school with a colleague. We where running a simulation game for a bunch of students.
We arrived a bit early and were escorted by a member of staff to a little kiosk window.
the school had a Barista! he has this little room with a big window where you go up and order your coffee. It’s not the canteen its just this coffee man! We didnt have to pay either.

If i’m ever a principal of a school i’ll make sure there is an in house deep fryer man on the staff.
It’sbeen a while since i’ve blogged anything interesting.
You could be waiting a bit longer too.
Things are pretty busy at the moment, what with 2 jobs, moving house next week and watching television.
I’m looking forward to a nice break sometime in 2033. the year i kick baby guido out of the house and get some peace and quiet. Until then it’s all go. but it’s good to set goals and mine is for a holiday in 25 years and then retirement in 2048.
Tonight is Apple’s “we are cool’ conference where they release new gizmos and steve jobs chucks on one of his black skivvies and takes the credit for the latest masterpiece.
The problem i have is that I cant afford anything apple makes.
I want a macbook pro so i can do some hardcore video editing but cant afford one.
I want an iphone casue they are sexy and lovely.
So i’m hoping tonights WWDC willl be the unveiling of “free mac stuff for howie”
in other news james is prawn is a noob. today he took his lady to the movies and they sat in their allocated seat. yuck!
Well yesterday was confirmation of a new place for us to live for a while. It will be my 14th place of residence and we will probably go to number 15 bwfore the end of the year.
I think wife is a bit stressed about moving casue she has never really moved before in her life. For me it’s more like a weekend hobby.
We are off to Waitara to live with an lovely old lady who we know through work. She has a big house and lives alone. so we will take up 2 rooms of her house probably for a few months while we look for a more permanant option.
I’m so excited about leaving the worlds worst train line and being so close to civilization.
Tonight Bevis and I went off to a inter-school social justice forum. We had to run a workshop on poverty and responding to it. Pretty much pitch TEAR a bit and try and give these young people a glimpse of what life can be like in different situations.
There was about 250 young people at the forum and they all got to pick 2 workshops they wanted to do. I think there was about 7 or 8 organisations running workshops. and they all ran twice.
Our first group was really good, it was all girls and 2 boys. They got into the little simulation that bevis ran and asked questions and took info, they listned whil i rattled off a bunch of resources and things they could be part of.
Then we broke for dinner.
workshop 2 however went to the dogs, it was a nightmare. no one listened. the boys spent the whole time flirting with the girls. They didnt take the simulation serioulsy at all. they spoke and even shouted over steve and no one listened to me. which in it self isnt bad cause young people enjoy a bit of fun. the anoying part was that they chose to be at this event but had no desire to interact or even listen to the material presented. and to make matters worse the member of staff that we had in the room just sat up the back totally silent. she sat there smiling.
time for sleeping have to be up early for a staff meeting in glebe
