wife and I are off to adelaide for a few days in August.

I love Adelaide, moslty becasue i love transport and adelaide is by far the best public transport city in australia.

There is the O-Bahn bus track.

the tram, trains the national railway museum. (Ryan and i spent a good day at the railway museum).

not to mention all the travel inside the city is free.

And now they have ‘tindo’ a solar powered bus that’s free.

We all know that for a while I was the number one ugliest man in the entire world thanks to google images. but now thanks to the discovery of more ugly men in the world I have slipped onto the second page in google images under ‘ugly man‘.

In other news howie d from the backstreet boys is no longer the number 1 ‘howie‘ in the world. he has been replaced by me. So now that i’m rich and famous I’m pretty sure i’ll be asked to host a tv variety hour late show now.

Today was a long day at TEAR. Much printing as we prepare for National Conference this weekend.

I think today we printed on about 2 reams of paper.

there was much waiting in line for our one printer.

At 5pm the printer was all mine for a 15 minute window. I did some printing and at 6 I decided i didnt care anymore so i just left the office. There was still much printing and organising to be done by the others in the office.

On the train now looking forward to some dinner and milking noob for a lift even if it’s not raining from the station.

Mum and friends my birthday is coming soon

Gotham at the G-max

popcorn and choc tops 1 Comment

Last night I went into the city to see ‘The Dark Night’ with a bunch of peoples.

First stop was the Sydney City RSL club for some dinner. It didn’t disappoint.

tom booked the tickets for the 9:20pm session becasue he wanted to see a movie in Greater Unions new ‘G-max’ cinema.

You walk in and think wow this is a bit posh. Big seats with lots of space between them. Little tables. It all looks rather swanky. That is however until you actually sit down.

The seats are hard and there is no recline in the back rest whatsoever, then there is the little table. A nice idea but there is a light in the middle of the table that shines in your face the whole movie. and it the seats are so far away from each other that if you want to pass some popcorn to your buddy you have to call a taxi to give you a lift.

But worst of all is the incline of the cinema. The cinema is almost flat, infact once you are sitting in your seat it feels like it’s uphill to the screen. the seats are so tall that you cant even see the bottom half of the screen. so asi talk about the movie below i’m only commenting on what i saw, there could have been much more that i missed out on.

G-max is dumb.

batman.jpg

The top half of this film was great. Heath ledger as the joker was amazing, he really was creepy and did an awesome job. There was explosions, and shooting and Batman’s cool bike.

There where some dumb bits too, this dumb machine that worked like sonar through the whole city’s mobile phones. It was a dumb machine.

I think the transition for two face was a bit poor and too sudden.

But overall a great film, well worth a watch.

Infact I might have to go see it again at a different cinema jus tto see what happens in the bottom half of the movie.

Day 6 of my 2 days a week at TEAR was worked today. No weekend for Howie.

tomorrow is the beginning of a new TEAR week.

It’s a good thing i like my job and enjoy being around young people otherwise i might complain about the fact that I”m so damn tired. All day staff meeting followed by two days with the Pope’s faithful, then a afternoon evening of filming followed by a day at my other job, then once that was over on the train to do more filming. Tuesday was spent at my other job then all day today back doing TEAR stuff.

I’m a machine.

The sympathy may now begin.

In other news, actually there is no other news casue i’ve been so damn busy working.

Yesterday after spending a relaxing morning at home I had to walk to hannah’s school tp pick her up and hang out with her for the afternoon.

I had my ipod in and pedomoter ticking over. I was walking along the pacific highway in front of Barker and I heard and then saw a fire engine with its sirens going travelling on the other side of the road. I kept walking but then the siren began to get louder and louder again. Until it sounded like it was inside my head. I turned around and almost had a heart attack, stroke and something else that would involve me to need new underpants.

After i saw the fire engine the first time it had done a u-turn over to head back in the direction i was walking. But being a big truck it must have taken the turn quite wide. As i turned around the truck was only centermetres away from hitting me as it mounted the footpath.

Bloody Soul Communications.

I left them in April and changed my phone over to virgin.

they kept sending bills even though i had left them and disconnected my service. Eventually after a couple of months it all got sorted.

Until yesterday when they took $50 out of our bank.

I rang them and it seems they have decided that they want my money. I had a word to them and they are crediting the money back to my bank.

losers.

also i submitted my tax return, good on my for being such a good person and giving monies to charities and stuff I only have to pay $56 tax.

fat man stealing my monies

The tax man is a selfish selfish bastard.

I’m doing my tax return at the moment and it looks like i’m going o have to pay the bastard yet again. Not as much as previsous years becasue finally i have myself a job that takes out tax every month. But still i don’t earn much money at all and i have to give a big chunk away to man 100% responsible for the obesity crisis, the tax man.

maybe i just won’t submit a tax return. That’s worked in the past.

Last night Jenny andi saw ‘Hancock’.

It was pretty good.

It started out quite funny but then midway through it stopped being funny and went a bit to serious for my liking and by the end it was all a bit to soppy and disney.

I like the concept of a drunk reckless super hero. And will smith was good at it.

Since moving closer to work it seems silly to drive. So feet are my transport.

I got a cheapo pedometer to see how far i walk, and then try and increase how far i walk each day in the hope that one day I’ll be walking along and my boobies and tummy will just fall off.

So far today i have walked 6.47km in the scheme of things that’s not very far.

but probably about 6km more than i would have walked a week or two ago.
