wow I scrub up well!

TodayI got all measured up for being a groomsmen.

It was a little weird having this man measure all my limbs and neck and feet and stuff. But also fun, i like wearing suits, i have no idea what this suit is going to look like becasue its in brisbane and i’m in sydney, i get measured here then when i arrive in brissie the suit will be there waiting for me.

i’m pretty hot in a suit.

Well just got off the phone from me buddy jesse in QLD and he wants me to be one of his groomsmen. He’s not having a best man instead hes having 4 best men, and fare enough calling me really!

i’m sitting on the couch watching jamie cullumn live from blenham palace on dvd with the boys and my mum is ironing all our pants.

wedding day

its wedding day (only just).

I just finnished packing my stuff for going away. tom came and celebrated my last night as a single man with me, we ate microwave meals and watched the chaser.

then my mummy irned all the shirts for us boys for tomorrow, thanks mum.

how am i feeling?

good question! i feel very strange, its all so weird. jenny and i put the n finishing touches on the church a few hours ago and it was a very weird sensation thuinking that the next time we see each other will be at our wedding.

its not scary people keep asking if we are scared, i dont really understand why i would be scared, its not like what if she says no oh no i’m scared. becasue we are getting married becasue we both want to say yes to each other so its not scary just weaird and sureal.

we sat in the car outside my house and prayed together, it was a good time, we both really want our marrige to honour God and we dont just wan to commit to each other but we want to commit to god and make him part of relationship, the focus of us coming together.

in terms of physical feelings i feel a bit nausious, but we all know thats not unusual.

i really should go to bed, i hope i can sleep.

the wedding of fun is aproaching……….

greeks, rain, rehersal, a big knife and madagascar

today we took the greeks to bobin head and apple tree bay, it rained.

then we went to DFO.

tonight we had the wedding rehersal, twas a jolly time its gonna be a fun day me thinks. At the rehersal we worked out where we have tostand and all that. Also my mummy and daddy came.

David gave me a bnloody gib knife for our wedding present, it is some traditional naga land knife from india used to cut off peoples heads. its cool.

and right now i am watching madagascar with the greeks, but we are watching it in greek, quite a funny experience for me becasue i cant understand a thing!

all bucksed up

well my bucks night has been and gone.

It was a very enjoyable evening. first it was big ball footy in a park in asquith which was tops we havent played big ball footy in ages! it was a lot of fun but boy oh boy am i unfit. I didnt feel oput of place thought becasue no one was fit everyone after 10 minutes of playing needed a break and after the game we all seemed quite weak.

after big ball we went off to thee house of chan, a chinese resteraunt in honrsby that was fun i even tried something new i didnt just get my stock standard order, normally there i would get sweet and soup pork. But not this time, its my bucks night i needed to try new things so i got sweet and sour beef.

then after dinner it was off to the city to the comedy store at fox studios. Comedy is funny.

then we headed to a bar around the corner from the comedy store and sat around a table outside chatting for a while. then it was home time (via krispy kreme)

I”m tired and sore today.

On thursday eveing Jenny and i will start moving stuff into our new home. Then a few days later i’ll move in and have my own pad for a month and a half.

Oh how my life is about to change

Well jenny once asked everyone what would make our wedding the “wedding of fun” and i said a merchandise table with official howie and jenny merchandise.

Well folks its a green light on the merchandise, jenny was not a big fan of the idea. but now she is and some of the merchandise is now in production and should be delivered in 2 – 3 weeks. wahooooooo.

Its only about 12 weeks until jenny and i get married.
and probably only about 6 weeks until we can start moving stuff into our home.
well today i began going through my stuff and throwing stuff out and packing some stuff into boxes.
And what betterway to get rid of stuff than to have a blog givaway!

so for the next 12 weeks there will be one chance each week to score stuff for yourself.

It was funny at the wedding on the weekend, i was sitting their during the ceremony just watching prceedings. Not thinking at all about my own wedding coming up.
But it seemed that every single other person at the wedding was aware of it. THere was no way i could count the amount of times people came up to me and said “this is going to be you in a few months”.

and its true it is only a few months, infact its 95 days.

gift shop time

I had this brilliuant idea tonight that at our wedding ceremony we have a gift shop at the back of the church, stocked up with official jenny and howie merchandise.

mugs and spoons and t shirts and beanies. posters, clocks, oven mits, tea towels.
the possibilities are endless.

but alas. jenny reckons its too self indulgent.

mmmm ikea

yesterday jenny and i spent a fare bit of money at ikea.

We have the coolest chairs and a really comfy footon thingy aswell.

We got this chair , 3 red and 3 white.

We also went to a display unit in a big building in rhodes. We cant afford to live there but its nice to dream

in 6 months today i’m getting married.

I hope bono is reading.

Bono please dont reschedule the sydney concert for september 9. I would be in a lot of trouble for not going to my own wedding.

It was special and we got lots of free stuff out of it!

booked and booked and drafted

They tell me preparing for a wedding is stressful and hard and emotional.
And just the other day I agreed.
But here I am a man who is getting married in September and the church is booked, the reception place is booked and there is a draft guest list, draft order of service and potential honeymoon destination.

Not to bad I’d say.

The reception place is cool, nice gardens, good menu, ampitheatre, and its was kinda cheap.

round one

tomorrow jenny and i and jenny’s parents are going to check out a possible venue for our wedding reception. Its a nice place with gardens and some inside bits. It has an ampitheatre which excites me.

And so it begins

the organising of the church and the order of service and the guest list and the reception venue and who is doing what.

its kind of fun but also kind of stressful with different people pushing their views on what we should do and no that wont work and you cant do that.
But jenny and i have a pretty good idea what we want so all we need to do know is make it happen.

we need a nice reception place that has a nice ourdoors bit for people to stand around chatting and a nice inside bit for those who dont like the outside and we need it cheap. Any ideas?

oh and we need food for it too but not too much just nice nibbles and drinks. mmmmmm coke.
