but yesterday there was quite a large game of handball at a petrol station.
This morning I went and voted then went to phoebes 1st birthday where I got to play some Frisbee with Deb’s funky Frisbee.
After Phoebe’s party I decided I wanted to have some just Howie time. Something I haven’t really had in a long time. I like hanging out with my self every now and then I’m a good bloke. Anyway the last few months have been quite full on in the community department and I need a bit of space I think. So today I took the initiative and spent the afternoon with just me. I figured if I stayed home I would end up talking to people here and it wouldn’t be the same. So I got my camera and tripod and extra lens and I caught a train to Milsons Point.
I felt like taking photos.
I spent over an hour walking across the harbour bridge just taking arty photos. It was great just me a camera and a beautiful afternoon. I really enjoyed myself, I could go where ever I wanted stop whenever I wanted. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom!!!!!
I think I got some good photos too.
I love the city, I love transport, I love photos. I think that’s a bit of a perfect day for me if I could just spend a whole day on transport and taking photos and looking at buildings. It probably sounds weird but I love it.
I think some of it probably stems from being an only child I really got to enjoy my own company at times and being alone isn’t a boring thing or a negative thing. I would love to go on a holiday by myself for like a week or so. Somewhere where there is grass and a beach and busses and trains and boats.
I’m such a kid I love transport.
Anyway back to my afternoon. Once I had made it across the harbour bridge I walked across the Cahill expressway which goes over the top of Circular quay. That was very cool, tall buildings on one side and the harbour on the other.I took a few more photos and walked back through Circular Quay towards Wynyard. On my was I saw a photo shop still open so I put my film in for developing. Then I just wandered around the city a bit and picked up my film at 7pm. Then it was off to Chatswood for toms coke party.
I felt really sick when I got to toms place. I was feeling really hot then cold then hot. I felt like I was going to throw up big time. But I never did throw up. I decided to go have a sleep. It was probably an hour or so I spent sleeping in a back room. Then I came back out to join the rest of the gang. Still feeling sick now, I really hope its not the intestinal infection coming back to haunt me cause I’m really sick of being sick all the time. The last few weeks I have felt great. I don’t want to go back to feeling like this.
And now I’m home about to go to bed.
this post falls under 4 seperate categories thats fun
Whilst on our afternoon off during conference, i went in to launceston. Walked around with jen we went into target and there it was. THe biggest frisbee i have ever seen. Its about 1 metre in diamter and it fluro orange made out of wetsuit material with a plastick ring around the outside. Its the bomb!. It flies weel. Easy to catch.
sheer brilliance.
best of all it only cost $9.09
Thanks to the brilliance of ryan i got to play some frisbee tonight. We played in the park out the back of the church, me ryan, anmol and chris.
i love frisbee.
I was in really bad form.
we all know frisbee encourages community.
who wants to play?
The following quote occured during a discussion tonight at my house involving jane stella, keith, mil and tom.
“Robert would be the only person in the world to give up sex with his wife for friesbee”
frisbee tonight, early, late we cater for all.
wanna come?
Today I bought a new Frisbee, my 5th Frisbee. Well 6th but I don’t include one of them because its crap.
Anyway back to my new Frisbee, it is now the flagship of my Frisbee collection and was moderately priced at :$36.99. It is an awesome Frisbee it throws so straight and so far, it’s the bomb. Worth every penny, or cent even.
Tonight we had community dinner in hornsby park and had a big picnic with most of the night spent playing Frisbee, we played with my new posh Frisbee and a good old franklin, and ryans ultimate Frisbee, we even taped 8 sparklers to a Frisbee and through it across the park, it looked very cool. Twas a fun night all round,
Towards the end of the evening ryan and I decided to try and do tricks on his scooter, liking jumping a step and stuff, that was fun, I hurt my toe and my leg, and my arm and probably more stuff but it was fun. We ended up jumping a chunk of wood instead.. there where lots of good stacks.
Last night in the pouring rain, when everyone was indoors rugging up, there was a bunch of us out in the street with big poncho’s on playing all weather Frisbee, the water pelting down. But it was a good game, it was fun, it was endurance, that because we are elite sports men and women, oh yes Frisbee is an extreme sport, only played but the brave and courageous, those of us who are committed to our sport.
Yu too can be an elite sports person,
Throw a Frisbee
It could change your life
While I was in NZ, there was no Frisbee playing, the whole time, I go away for 10 days and you all give up!
Lucky I came back when I did, or the whole country would have fallen into another great depression.
We played Frisbee at community dinner tonight and as usual it was a lot of fun, we started off with the franklin “ryans orange one” then we moved onto the glow in the dark, lit, “night lighting”
I love frisbee
tonight a game of frisbee,
night frisbee,
meet at my house at 9:30pm
email or call or something or just turn up.
Ryan and i went to rebel sport again today, we bought 2 new frisbee’s i have a new franklin to replace the one that jumped on the train tracks and ryan got a “wahu” which is made out of wetsuit material.
Rebel sport hornsby are now out of the trusty franklin frisbee, bought their last one today.
in the past month ryan and i have purchased 9 frisbee’s from rebel sport
On the way home last night at Hornsby station I was spinning the green franklin Frisbee on my finger and it slipped off and fell down between the station and the train, just like that the little guy is gone, slipped from my fingers like melting butter, he’s gone.
As of yet I have not received any condolences from cityrail
Ryan has created a new category on his blog called “Frisbee” and I have created a new category called “Frisbee fun” So to celebrate I have bought a new Frisbee, yes I know I now own 4 Frisbee’s buts it’s a serious sport, my new Frisbee is a “Regent” which weighs 165 grams which is 35 grams more than my “Franklin which is 130 grams. I also bought some orange marker cones so that we can mark out a playing field on our local ovals and the like, oh and I bought 2 tennis balls just for warm up throwing and catching exercise
All of this was payed for by a Christmas Westfield gift voucher…
How awesome.
