well the old howie’s halfpipe still pulls a small gathering of loyal visitors each month.

wordpress seems to be running in some kind of safe mode.

nothing a slap of the computer cant fix

well the change has begun.
spent a lot of today fiddling with my new theme and its not finished yet but due to some editing restrictions and glitches in the new wordpress work has grinded to a halt for now.

Bit of a work in progress this one. It will be finished oneday.

hello people of the world

my blog is moving to a new server so if you dont see me for a few days its becasue i have fallen down a deep hole and david is rescuing me. And david isnt the best rescuer seeing as he only has one arm at the moment.

• To help reduce my blogs impact on global warming I have decided to invest in a post recycling scheme. From now on all you read will be a rehash of stuff I have written before.
• AlsoI’mgoingtolimittheuseofthespacebar, asthespacebarusesfarmoreenergythanotherkeysonthekeyboard duetoitsunnecessarysizecomparedwihtotherkeys
• I am installing energy saving banners, which like the light globes will take a long time to load and will cast a dull gloom over the site.
• to assist in easing the affects of the drought I am placing a bucket under my desk, so that when i burst out into tears whilst viewing the declining visitor statistics i can collect the tears and use the full bucket to drown my sorrows.
• Last but not least, every time someone leaves a comment I will steal your personal detials and sell them to companies and organisations that will send you tonnes and tonnes of paper telling you how to save the world by using less paper and giving them money so that you can be carbon neutral. In tern they will give you a water saving shower head whcih means you will have longer showers becasue those stupid damn things give you bugger all presure.

you can now comment on all banners. I even found some hidden ones in the vault.

No need to register, infact you cant register anymore. I finally got around to upgrading my commenting system, so now there should be no spam comments and anyone can comment.

both a very good questions, the asnwer to the first question is still unknown but the asnwer to the second is this.

July has come upon us. And july can mean only one thing. Its howie’s halfpipes birthday!!!!!!!! On the 10^th of July this little insignificant site with more than its fare share of typos and spelling mistakes will turn 4 years old.
 

The other thing that will happen in july is that I will have my 50,000 visitor.
My prediction is that the 50,000^th visitor will be on July 26.
 

Boy oh boy the 50,000 visitor will win the grandest prize of them all (yet to be thought of).
 

But in the meantime sit back relax and pretend there is a nice montage of my blog posts from the last 4 years floating and fading across the screen with some tacky slow music behind it.

I still cant upload images to my blog

infact i cant add or delete anything in any of my folders, it seems i dont have authority to acccess my own files.

hopefuly smartyhost is getting to the bottom of it for me.

i think my blog is broken.

the hosting company made lots of changes this morning and i had to update lots of logins and passwords and stuff. and they broke my blog database.

its sort of fixed now but lots of images seem to have dissapeared.

It seems that more spammers have been trying to break through my comment security. and lately a few have slipped through the cracks.
So now if you want to leave a comment on my blog you will need to register and be logged in to comment.

Its ok you only have to register once and then if you always use the same computer at home or at work you can set your browser to always be loggin in when you visit my blog. otherwise you just need to enter your login and password each time you comment.

I’m sorry its a bit more work for you but its helpful in the reduction of spam.
