The other day I bought ‘RUNTELDAT’ a Martin Lawrence live stand up DVD. It was $7 so I figured it would be a cheap laugh and if it wasn’t amazing thats ok cause it was soo cheap. Later that day I saw it in another shop for $27 so I thought i had scored a real bargain.
Now this is where the ‘Play it forward’ title comes in to play.
I lasted 10 minutes into the show before ejecting it. I sat through the tedious intro which made we want to punch the screen, then the show started and I wanted to laugh really i did but there was no jokes, there wasn’t anything remotely funny about it. So it’s time to play it forward. If you want to give it a go leave a comment and i’ll email you and post the DVD to you.
Watch it, or some of it depending on how long you last, then write in the enclosed visitors booklet i have made how long you lasted and then send it back to me or on to someone else. Eventually i’ll get it back and put up peoples comments and how long they lasted on the old blog.
As you know, I’m watching a bond movie every week. The old bonds on the whole are pretty good films but some standout flops have been ‘On Her Majesties Secret Service’ with auusie george Lazenby as bond, he is the crappest bond ever. The next film that was dumb is actually the next film ‘diamonds are Forever’ it just was dull.
But that doesnt matter i’m having a great time watching them.
I shaved on Saturday.I’m eating brownies and that is you up to speed on my exciting life.
I just installed google chrome and it doesn’t seem to like the idea of spaces in between lines and new paragraphs.
This song is based on a traditional anonymous ‘Franciscan benediction’, composed and performed by Josh Spier (TEAR SA Coordinator), featuring violinist Niki Vasilakis.
This is another one of those “you are an amazing person if you make it to the end of this video” videos.
Thanks Spike for finding this painful experience.
We have been trying to work out how to clear some space in the dining room of our house so that Oscar can have a more permanent play area set up. One option we thought was to get rid of our chunky old TV because it takes up a fare bit of space. This is the sort of idea that excites me because i love technology and was hoping it meant I would get to go and get a new TV.
I was in westfield getting some bats for a TEAR simulation and thought i would pop in to a few TV shops just to look at prices.
The space we have for a TV is quite small so i went to look at all the small TV’s in the stores. The cheapest i could find was $500 and that was in Kmart, some brand that no one in the whole world has ever heard of.
I went to several differnt shops, Bing Lee, JB Hi-Fi, Kmart, It seemed that the new tv idea was a lost casue, I’m not spending $500 on a tiny tv.
I thought I would give David Jones a go, so I went in and looked around at their TV’s, then I found this ugly white one that was $549 but on sale now only $349 Bargain. So i rang Jenny to see if she thought it was a good idea. We did lots of umming and arrrring. Then Jenny said i needed to put forward a better case. So I spun my magic and walked to the register with a TV in a box.
The man scanned it in and it came up at $249, that’s $300 OFF!!!! I had to buy it now.
So we have a new little LCD tv, it even picks up fuzzy 10, 9 and 7. Unlike our home theatre that only gets ABC and SBS.
We put our old chunky TV out on the footpath and jenny made a sign that said “FREE!!! Works fine, includes remote”
Some smart arese came along and stole the remote so I had to tear that part of the sign off. A few hours later the TV was gone.
Normally with a title like that you would think I was about to crap on about sales targets and profits and all that sort of thing. Well I’m Not. If you want that sort of thing go here.
I’m here to talk to you about projecting images from a city building on to the side of another city building.
Today once it had got a bit darker, Carlyn and I thought it would be fun to try the work projector out. specifically try it out by pointing it out our office window onto the next building.
It worked a treat, we started by projecting an episode of the west wing but then decided a TEAR video was probably a better idea. So there it is. you can probably see it from the street but neither of us where going to go all the way down there to check it out.
It’s pretty fun, there are endless possibilities when it comes to things to project.
Today I was working in the blue mountains at the Bevis house. I had to do a lot of transferring of video files to a portable hard drive for posting to Melbourne.
Transferring 185GB of video footage onto a USB hard drive takes around 2 hours I have discovered.
The day got better with some lunch and fun with Debbie, Jenny and Oscar.
